We are in post Circuit Breaker Phase One now and restaurants and eateries still remain close. Food delivery services have been a god-sent during this period because while most of us are cooking a lot more at home now, there are times when we just crave for our favourite food from our favourite restaurants, but they ain’t easy to replicate when you (ok, me…) aren’t exactly chef material.
Jon and I love seafood, especially crabs. We often drive out during dinner time for some fresh and yummy crabs, but since we couldn’t during this period, we opt for crab delivery from 8 Crabs Seafood Kitchen. They offer freshly cooked Sri Lankan Crabs and promise to deliver all the food within an hour of cooking them.
Ordering was a breeze. Just go to their website, pick all your favourite dishes from their menu, fill in your particulars, pay with your credit card, and then wait for your food to arrive. You can also opt to order in advance so that you know that you have a delivery slot and won’t be disappointed.
We didn’t order very much since it was just Jon and me eating.
The crab was a good size for the two of us. It was fleshy, and the salted egg gravy was very rich and flavourful. We went a little overboard with the fried mantous though, we ordered too many! The fried mantous were crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, and they tasted heavenly after we dipped them into the salted egg gravy. Hokkaido Scallops with Asparagus was a very delicious dish too, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for vegetables to add on to your seafood selections.
Now you know where to go if you are craving for seafood the next time ’round.
