If you ran out of interesting things to do at Seoul, try heading to one of the photo studios in Seoul to get a photoshoot done. Korea has some of the prettiest studios and setups, and after my last photoshoot at Cheese Smile Studio in Seoul last September, I went for another one since Mr. Kim opened another studio and I was still hanging around in Seoul in December!
The new Seosulla Studio‘s concept was pretty much the same as Cheese Smile Studio’s, where you get to take your own photos with a remote control after the photographer on duty has set up the studio for you. This is great for people who are little shy posing in front of photographers, and for solo travellers like me!
Seosulla Studio has got two different rooms with different setups for you to choose from — a traditional set that is great for hanbok, or vintage costumes ala the Hotel Del Luna inspired looks, and one with coloured backdrops that you can basically match with anything.
Just like Cheese Smile Studio, there are costumes and props available at Seosulla Studio that you can borrow for your photoshoot. I love their vintage costumes and modern hanboks! I picked a full white modern hanbok and paired it with romantic bouquets and fans for the traditional set. As for the other set, I did a very contrasting, colourful, and playful look with my own outfit.

After the photoshoot is done, the photographer on duty will edit the photos you like for you and print them out. The photos will be given to you in a nice white frame. As for the rest of the photos? All the unedited photos will be shared with you via a URL and you can download everything after that. Don’t worry about them being unedited. The lighting is so pretty I can confidently say the photos do not require any editing at all.
Here are the two photos that Mr. Kim edited for me!
And of course, there are more than two photos that I love. So I did simple editing (my skills are so basic as compared to Mr. Kim’s! He shot a campaign for K-pop band NCT though! So powerful!) and here they are!
Book a slot at either Cheese Smile Studio or Seosulla Studio for a fun photoshoot session the next time you are in Seoul. Great for friends and family too!
