I was on a work trip to Seoul two weeks back and Regina and I went for a fun photoshoot at Cheese Smile Studio, a photo studio in Seoul.
The boss of the studio is Mr. Kim Hogeun, and he was the photographer behind my family’s hanbok photoshoot some time back. He showed us around Cheese Smile Studio which spanned 2 floors, showed us the outfits he has that we can wear, and the props that we can use to pose with at the photoshoot. I love the vintage outfits! Regina and I each picked one simple bridal dress and a vintage outfit for our first photoshoot in Seoul for this trip.
Watch the video to have a better idea of how the studio looked like and what went on during the photoshoot.
Mr. Kim set up the studio for us, making sure that all the lighting and equipment were in place. He left us to our own so that we wouldn’t feel shy posing. He passed us the remote control and with the remote control in our hand, we happily posed with the props that we deemed suitable. There was a desktop computer just by the side so that we can preview the photos we took immediately.
After the time was up, Mr. Kim promptly came over to adjust the camera. Why is there a need to adjust? Because we started with full-length shots, so he adjusted the camera a little so that we can do some up close half-body shots in the same outfit before moving on to another one.
Once we were done with both outfits, Mr. Kim gave us some time to preview the photos and we chose two favourites. He edited the two photos, printed, and framed them up for us. His editing was absolutely beautiful! Thank you!
Here are the two edited photos:
What about the rest of the photos, you may ask. We definitely have more than two favourites, so Mr. Kim uploaded them to his drive and gave us a link to download ALL the photos. Even though they were unedited, the photos were still very nice!
These are the photos that were NOT edited by Mr. Kim. I did some simple editing myself but I cannot mimic what he did. He is too skilful!
Thank you Mr. Kim for having us! We really enjoyed ourselves a lot. If you are looking to do a photoshoot in Seoul or looking for a photo studio in Seoul, do contact Cheese Smile Studio.
