I used to be plagued by acne and pimples when I was young but have since outgrown that horrible phase and have been having relatively good skin. However, for the past two to three weeks, pimples are popping from my chin and temples and there are at least 7 to 10 of them! Most of them have calmed down now by the time I’m writing this, but there are still a few pesky ones hanging around.
For the nodular acne on my chin, I went to my aesthetic doctor for acne injections and I’ll share about that in the next blog post because it is so magical. At the same time, to calm my irritated and pimply skin I’ve been faithfully using The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil products that were sent to me. They really did come at the perfect timing. Thank God!
The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution $32.90
I use The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution right after cleansing my face, and it is a lightweight, almost watery solution that helps to combat blemishes and improves the overall condition of my skin. It helps to control oily skin to reduce all those spots from popping out.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil $19.90
I guess this is the holy grail of all the Tea Tree Oil products and it has been around for the longest time. This is the first time I’m trying it out and I’ve got to say that I am not disappointed!
I expected it to be oily, but it is not. It is almost watery, and upon application, gives a cool, minty feeling on the skin. I applied it generously (don’t spam it if you have dry skin, though!) over my spotty areas and I love the cooling sensation it gives. With its purifying properties, it helps to heal and reduce blemishes.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night Mask $28.90
Since my skin is pimply and irritated now, I changed my usual hydrating and anti-aging night mask for The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night Mask. It feels good to know that my skin is still protected under the dry air-conditioning at night, and yet at the same time, my blemishes are being taken care of too.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night Mask has a gel-like texture and is specifically formulated to care for blemishes and imperfections while you sleep. Infused with salicylic acid and Community Trade tea tree oil, this leave-on mask helps reduce the size and number of imperfections.
Just like my other sleeping mask, this night mask also lets me wakes up to a radiant and bouncy skin.
Because I am given these three products from the range, I’m short of a moisturiser (which I am currently using another one of my own in place of one from the Tea Tree Oil range) which I think I’ll head over to The Body Shop to buy. I’m looking at The Body Shop Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion or the Tea Tree Night Lotion. I can’t wait to say goodbye to my pimply face and get my clear skin back!
