I recently received some makeup from Bobbi Brown’s new launch and I’m so in love with them that I decided to swatch everything. And since that’s already done, it definitely calls for a detailed review on the blog.
Now, let me go through them one by one, starting from my absolute favourite, the limited edition Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Sparkle Sticks, followed by the Dreaming of Capri collection that includes a eyeshadow palette, two eyeliners, and a liquid highlighter.
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Sparkle Stick
There are a total of 9 colours for these sparkle sticks and here are their swatches.
The colours are pigmented and very sparkly. It was a breeze to apply them since they are in a stick form and the smooth texture allows me to glide them on my skin easily.
I used #Rose Quartz and #Tanzanite on my upper eyelid and #Moonstone on my lower lash line. I forgot to take a photo with my eyes closed to show you the sparkle but I can assure you that they are really pretty. I’m sure you can see the silvery sparkle of #Moonstone on my lower lash line though!
Although you can apply the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Sparkle Stick directly onto your skin, I will still recommend that you use a brush to blend them together or to blend them out at the corners after application. I guess I will be using them a lot because they are too lovely!
Dreaming of Capri Collection
Bobbi Brown Capri Nudes E/S Palette
This palette was inspired by the la dolce vita look with colours casual enough for a resort vacation and yet also bold enough for a glam night out.
There are 8 neutral tones and a rich navy, in different matte and shimmer finishes with very good colour payoff. There isn’t much fallout from the palette too.
I haven’t tried creating a look with this palette yet, but I’ll definitely do it because the colours are so pretty. I’ll update it on my Instagram when it’s done!
Bobbi Brown Dual-End Long-Wear Liquid Liner
There are two liners from this collection, one in Azzuro an Oro, and the other in Cioccolato & Frizzante.
The colours are intense and pigmented and I love the applicator. The brush is soft and flexible enough, yet not too soft that it’s hard to control. The eyeliner is lasting without flaking or fading under normal circumstances. I totally love the navy blue and it’s contrast with the gold, so my vote goes to Azzuro and Oro. Of course, that’s for days when I can be more adventurous. On my normal workday, I’ll stick to Cioccolato & Frizzante.
Bobbi Brown All Over Glow
This highlighter isn’t reserved just for our face. Feel free to use it on décolletage. shoulders, arms, and legs. In fact, anywhere.
It comes in only one shade and it’s suitable for all skin tones, All Over Glow adds a rose gold sheen onto your skin. Infused with squalane, it also helps to smooth aways the fine lines of your skin.
Can you see how shimmery it is?
Smooth it out to get a subtle sheen and glow on your face. I applied it on the high points of my face like my nose bridge and cheekbones and they shone beautifully. However, it does feel oily after a while so I do think that All Over Glow is more suitable for people with normal or dry skin. Those with oily skin may find it too greasy after a while.
