The Theme Song of Dear Dear and Me!

Dear heard this song on his ipod and sms-ed me to ask me to listen to it. He said he was laughing when he heard it!

Cyndi Wang 王心凌 - Hi Hi Bye Bye

The lyrics are so apt! All of it! That’s the story of Dear Dear and me! I’m making this our theme song…muahahahahaha….. except that it should be “我睡起来是早上,你睡起来是夜晚”, not the other way round…. and i prefer walking on the left and make him walk on the right.. hahahahaha….

I love you!

muacks!

Shopping Loots for Today!

Had been busy with so many things that I haven’t gone out shopping for quite some time. Dear Dear accompanied me out today and I headed out today specially to get my ear pierced!

Photobucket
Ta da! The one I just did is the non bling bling ring at the helix!
Can still see the blue ink used for marking…

Photobucket
Referring to Area H on this chart…. Its called Helix piercing….
* Chart from http://hubpages.com/hub/every-ear-piercing*

Photobucket
This photo was from so many years back!!
I used to have the Tragus piercing (Area T) but i took it out already as it was obstructing me from putting in my earphones… hahaha… I was telling my piercer (yes… same guy pierced for me!) that today but according to him, once it heals, I could easily put in the earphones. But I dunno leh, I still find it obstructing me so in the end I took it out… :(

The piercer says that he can’t use that “gun” for this so it was pierced using the very primitive method. First he marked the spot i wanted with blue ink, then he used a very long needle to manually pierce through the soft bone. After that he removed the needle and put in the ring and secured it. That’s it! Sounds painful isn’t it… but actually its quite bearable. The same method was used for the tragus piercing many years back. As compared to this helix piercing, I think tragus piercing was more painful!

After that Dear Dear and I went shopping. I wanted to find a cream colour clutch today, but walked through Far East Plaza, Ion and Taka but couldn’t find one that I like… Aiya never mind la, I’ll go shopping again then! hehehe….

But I got these!

Photobucket
Brown belt with the white details (dunno what to call it…) lined at the top and bottom…. Only $10!

Photobucket
Love this hair clip lots! Clash of the sweet girly ribbon with rocker metal studs….

Photobucket

When I reached home… I realized I forgot to go and get the CDs that I wanted~~~~~~~~ Brrrrr……..

Elisha Coy Diamond Sparkle BB Cream Party! 21 Jan 2011

I attended a blogger’s event last Saturday organized by Secretive and it was awesome! Thanks to Kiyora ( and dearest Joyce! ) for the invite! The food was good, the venue was nice and comfy, the organizers were friendly and hospitable, the products were tops and the bloggers were fantastic!

Warning:This is gonna be a photo intensive post! Hahaha…
I attended the session on Saturday morning instead Friday night because I needed to attend a Band Concert. It was only the next morning that I realized that Karen was there on Friday! Missed catching up with an old classmate…. Sigh…. But never mind, there’s always a next time! The Saturday morning bloggers are wonderful girls too!

Photobucket
The event was held in Marina Bay Sands and Kiyora ushered us up to the room. *Photo from Lush Beauty :)
The room was really pretty and we girls were running to the balcony to take a look at the view and ran around the room exploring it. I was one of them~~~heheheheh….

Photobucket
The organizers were really sweet! They got Mac breakfast for every single one of us! Thanks for the thoughtfulness!

The two pretty organizers gave us a short introduction of the products they have after our breakfast and we proceeded to the 2 different sections (Skin care and Makeup!) to test out the products.

Photobucket
The four of us headed to the Makeup section first while the rest headed to the Skin Care section.
From left: Lynn, Xiaoxin, Joey and Jamie!

Photobucket
Elisha Coy Water Drop Sun Cream. Its oil free and non sticky with SPF 33.

Photobucket
One of my favourites and I’m getting it!

Photobucket
The girls are trying out the makeup and having a lot of fun!

Photobucket
Makeup from Elisha Coy and Lioele…

Photobucket
The star of the event….Elisha Coy Diamond Shiny Pearl BB Cream. It leaves a nice shine on your skin after applying, and its very light and easy to spread. It looks natural and a plus point is that it has an SPF 27. I’m always on the lookout for SPF in skin care or makeup!!

Photobucket
Another of my favourites… Lioele Blooming Cherry Tint
I couldn’t capture the nice pink tinge after i spread it evenly over the back of my hand~~ :( But the tinge was really pretty!

Photobucket
The very first BB cream for men that I’ve ever seen! Woohoo! Finally something for our vain male counterparts… who says men can’t be vain? I’ll buy one for my vain Dear Dear… ;p
I tried it on and it has a very sheer finish and its super light, suitable for the gentlemen. Very light coverage but it makes you less tired looking and evens out complexion.

Photobucket
ElishaCoy Soft Finish Mineral Powder — Very fine powder, and mineral powder doesn’t clog pores. Nice to finish off and set the whole makeup with it and good for light makeup days too! It has moisturizing ability to give suppleness to the skin! Nice for my uber dry skin!

Photobucket
My favourite of the favourites product: Lioele Artist Auto Eyebrow (Its already in my shopping cart waiting for checkout…)
It has the eyebrow pencil on one end and a brush on the other for you to neaten brows. See the triangular tip of the brow pencil? Its easier to draw and shape your eyebrows with it! 3 colours to choose from and share a scret with you….. it only cost $4.17 ( I can’t believe it! ) now after their mega 70% discount! grab it quick before the sale ends!

Photobucket
Trying out the Lioele Artist Auto Eyebrow on Jamie… I didn’t do a good job I think! Luckily she’s naturally pretty and still looks very chio!

Photobucket
I headed to the Skin care section soon after, and tested the makeup remover! Jamie was so cute… she demo the cleanser for me because someone did it for her just now! This is what I always call “paying it forward….” Hahaha…
Anyway…. The cleanser feels cooling and is effective!

Photobucket
Jamie trying out the Herb Clay Pore Refining Cream…. She looks very happy with it… hahaha….

Photobucket
She tried on another one and kept saying it has a nice lemon-y citrus smell!!
I think we are having too much fun there….

Photobucket
Photobucket
That’s Kiyora and me!

Photobucket
I nearly forgot about this…. Art supplies were provided for us to design our little pouches…

Photobucket
and here’s mine! Boring design…the other girls did a beautiful job…. Jamie’s obsessed with nail art and she was so keen on taking the little sparkling crystals and sticking them onto her nails!

Photobucket

A Wonderful Sunday 16 Jan 2011

I finally added the Followers gadget! At the sidebar, below the shoutbox! :)

And before I start on the post I just have to post this photo…

Photobucket
Muahahaha… Like father like son…. I walked out from my shower to see the 2 of them sleeping sideways in the living room…. hahahaha……

I met up with Alice and Rachel last Sunday afternoon for lunch at Shokudo! We were supposed to meet up a few weeks back but I was sick so it was postponed! I blogged about it here! :) And as mentioned in the earlier post, Alice got me a present and here it is!

Photobucket
A Longchamp bag in my favourite colour!

Photobucket
Must take photo with the pretty bag..

Photobucket
Me carrying the bag and that’s Alice!
Thanks babe! I really appreciate it a lot…. I’m going to use it often! :)

Photobucket
And Alice got a Loewe purse for Rachel! Alice told me Rachel was so excited when she knew about it and couldn’t wait to see it!

Photobucket
Close-up of the Rachel’s purse!

Alice! Wait for your birthday! I’ll definitely get you something nice! :)

Both Rachel and Alice had to leave early to meet their hubbies and me too proceeded to meet my Dear Dear and his friends at Liang Court for a KTV session!

Photobucket
That’s Peipei and Yanxin crooning!

I sang a few songs and wah biang…. the stoppers are preventing me from pronoucing my words properly and haiyo… I sang funnily!! Hahahah! Peipei even suggested that I should sing Jay Chou since poor pronounciation would be good for it…. But hor… I think I’m worst than Jay now! Muahahahah….

Photobucket
These 2 singing Jay Chou’s 黑色幽默… Why must sit so high ah????!!!

Photobucket
And they were so touched by the song they sang together that…..
I knew my Dear Dear was a closet gay all the time! 还不承认!!! Muahahahah!

Photobucket
Ta da! Group photo!

I went home straight after that and didn’t have dinner with them because I wanted to take care of my darling Kele and sleep early for work on Monday…. I’ve been sleeping at 9pm everyday on weekdays… I’m such a good girl!!

Super Mini Sec 4C Gathering!

I called it a mini class gathering because out of the 15 people in contact… only 3 turned up! hahahah…. But who cares, we had a blast! Those who said that they are coming but didn’t turn up deserves a spanking man… hahaha… never mind, but do join us if there’s a next time ya!

Sandie, Brenda and I haven’t met each other for years. I so glad that we managed to get together again after so long. Its amazing how we can still chit-chat like we did in the past, no barriers, no awkwardness, and we can still share with one another our deepest secrets and all our nonsense! Really hope we keep this up and not have our next gathering 10 years later! Let’s make it a little more regular shall we!?

Yes… we really talked and shared a lot. We met up at 7 plus in the evening, and guess what time we headed home? 4 plus in the morning!

Photobucket
Sandie and me! She didn’t change one bit! Still the sexy, pretty babe!

Photobucket
Sandie and Brenda! Both are so gorgeous!

Photobucket
Dear Dear, me and Brenda! Dear Dear came over for a while after his performance and showed us to a quieter place where we could continue talking talking talking non-stop… hahahahaha….
Thanks Dear for the coffee treat!

Sigh… the only picture the 3 of us took together was blur….. zzzzzzzzz……….. never mind! there’s always a next time!

I’m really really happy to see both Sandie and Brenda doing very well and happy. Meet up again soon babes… Meanwhile, take care and keep in contact! :)

Style Myself!!

Advertorial

Want to look for fashion inspirations but don’t know where to start?

Found beautiful fashion apparels and accessories in the magazines and online fashion sites but you can’t purchase the items or do not know where to buy them from?
I kinda found a solution for the problems above.
Sometimes late at night, when I want to browse through the latest fashion trends, I do not know where to start looking. I’ve finished reading my fashion and beauty magazines, and there aren’t any fashion channels showing at that moment. When I browse through online fashion websites (there’re many interesting ones actually!) and saw something that I like, I don’t know where I can purchase them, or they are overseas webby and it would make it impossible to me to get them unless I’ve got a friend residing in that country! Such an anti-climax right?!

Till I found http://www.stylemyself.com!
So what is it what is it what is it????!!!
Stylemyself is a one stop fashion e-catalogue dedicated to products gathered across many fashion categories and retailers across Singapore (Take Note: Singapore….. Which means you see, you like, you can get them easily!). It provides a new and unique way to browse through retail fashion and fashion-related products available locally. Stylemyself organizes and catalogues images and details of products that are available for sale across Singapore. It is a platform for local fashion retailers to showcase their latest products collectively.
Wow… Its so good. So where can you find them?

1)Visit Stylemyself.com (Click on the banner above!) for the latest fashion trends and the latest products in Singapore!
2)Want to know more about them? You can read Stylemyself Blog at http://stylemyself.posterous.com
3) And…. to get the latest updates and promotions delivered to your Facebook news feed, Do join their Fanpage at http://www.facebook.com/stylemyself… I’ve joined already! Join me join me!
4) And for the busy women (or men!) on the move (or people who cannot stop staring at their Iphone…hahaha), here’s their very wonderful Iphone App: http://itunes.apple.com/app/id402685775 I’ll talk more about it later! :)
I’m now going to try to mix and match a few outfits from Stylemyself.com!
Photobucket
For something edgy!
The dress and the long vest from POA and the cool and roomy handbag from Pazzion.
I added the watch from Elle and changed the shoes to a pair of black Oxford heels from New Look Woman! I would love to add a pair of white or cream ankle socks to the Oxford heels to add on to the quirkiness! Nice right… this is so me….
I put together another outfit with a sweeter look too! For romantic dates or a tea party!
Photobucket
Cream dress with scallop details from Bysi and the lacy black ribbon clutch from New Look Woman. I really love this bag! I think I’m going to get it… haha…
I chose 3 pairs of shoes to finish up the outfit… and I think that any pair goes! All three of them are sweet and is either cream or black or both! And I would love to add a black sash for a belt to define the waist! Nice or not!
Then I got addicted and decided to put something together for my Dear Dear, Marku…
Photobucket
I totally think that this outfit from POA is something that Mark would wear! I like that collar-pin/broach idea on the black jacket! I would change the pants to a pair of slim cut black jeans that Mark has and match it with the boots from New Look Men! Nice right! hehehehe….
That’s not all…. Stylemyself also included skincare and makeup products in their catalogue!
I picked out some that I love!
Photobucket
Skinfood Mask!
Must have nice skin! Its important!
Photobucket
Skincare from Omijia!
Photobucket
Inouvi Lip Treat and Inouvi Metallogy Eyeshadow!
I love strong eye makeup with nude and lighter lips!
There’s almost anything and everything at Stylemyself for the fashionista and the beauty lover….
And so I was talking about the Iphone app. I download the free app some time ago and I’m totally engrossing myself on it when I’m on the go.
Photobucket
The app icon, make sure you don’t get the wrong one! Just type Stylemyself under “search” and it’ll appear in your search results.
Like it’s website version, it showcases all the different categories of products but there’s something more exciting in it—- the app will notify you when you are close to your favorite products (which you can mark them on the website)!! Wow…. talk about technology!!!! Imagine walking around and window shopping endlessly and suddenly your phone beeps, to alert you to head to that shop to get your item of the moment! Woohoo!!
Photobucket
Screenshot from my iphone.
The different categories!
Photobucket
Screenshot of the latest products! There were just so many!
So do pop by
now to update yourselves with the latest trends girls and boys! Have fun browsing, wow-ing, mixing and matching!

Journey To Straighter Teeth – Part 2

I finally went to put up my full braces last Tuesday! It should had been a week earlier but I was down with stomach flu so I had no choice but to shift my appointment to a later date.

I thought that I would post the details of my orthodontist and the cost of the procedure since I’ve got many enquiries on it. I went to Dr. Alfred Cheng’s Orthodontic Clinic which is located at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, #03-03. He’s a very nice orthodontist, but he doesn’t talk very much, except to tell me all I need to know and how to take care of my teeth after my braces were up. So do ask him questions when in doubt. I did the colourful metal braces and it cost $3800 in total. But Dr. Cheng doesn’t collect the amount in full it seems. I paid $530 plus for each visit for the first 3 visits. Subsequently, I’ll just need to pay $100 plus each time. Quite affordable I would say.
So I headed to the clinic and waited for about ten minutes before it was my turn. The waiting time there is always very minimal. I like that! I really hate waiting!!! Dr. Cheng started work immediately and it was quite painless. I get to choose what colour I want on my braces and I chose my favourite blue!
Photobucket
Blue colour braces! took this yesterday when I went KTV with Dear and friends!
Photobucket
My braces partner, Fiona! She chose white colour!
Actually white looks kind of “invisible”!
Fiona was telling me that she like that soreness and the pain in her gums.. Hahahah….because it proves that the teeth are moving! Errmm… a little sadist… but so true!!! She so cute one loh!
Pain Factor and Eating
The pain and soreness in my mouth set in only a few hours later. I felt the effects of the wires pulling my teeth. I couldn’t eat normal food for the first 2 days, but I resumed eating my normal food after that (I ate a huge chicken drumstick yesterday! hehehe…). However, I need to cut up my food into small pieces to consume. I can’t bite or cut food with my upper and lower front teeth. I tried biting into a banana and biscuits today but ermm, still not very good. I’ll try biting again a few days later to try! So for those who are worried that eating may be torturous, I think its ok la…. Just need to get use to it!
Oral Hygiene
With the braces on, it means that food gets stuck easily on the metal brackets and wires and the coloured parts in front. But nothing a rinse can’t solve. I make sure I rinse after every food intake (very unglam if you talk or smile and show the other party a huge vege stuck on your braces right?! hahaha…) and I even bought 2 small toothbrush (one for home and one to bring along with me everywhere!) with soft bristles for brushing. Why soft bristles? Because I brush pretty frequently now (which means I kept eating and snacking all the time…and initially I thought many will lose weight during the time they had braces on!!?), I don’t wanna hurt my gums by using a firm bristle toothbrush.
Photobucket
My two cutesy toothbrush!
Photobucket
bought this for my mouth wash!
Speech
To me… this is the worse part, because I’m so so so suay….. :( I’m on e of the unlucky ones who needs stoppers when wearing braces!! Sigh….. I’ve got 2 stoppers on my top right and top left molars. Its a half ball-like thing attached onto my upper molars to prevent me from biting onto the lower brackets. Wa… I really dislike these 2 stoppers. With them in between my upper and lower teeth, my upper and lower teeth can’t meet at all!!!! Eating is still ok ( I actually bite with my stoppers.. hahaha… no issues with that…), but now when I talk, I talk like a….how do I describe…. 大舌头…. I can’t pronounce my “s”, “sh” etc properly….. God….
Its so embarrassing talking now… And I need to talk a lot at work…. sigh…. I’m getting more use to it now but I still can’t stand it. I’m going to call Dr Cheng tomorrow to see if I can’t continue my braces treatment without the stoppers. Sigh…. ( And imagine I went KTV yesterday… My diction is worst than Mr J….. Hahahaha….)
And i feel so ugly….. :(

Favourite Belt of the Moment!

Have been really busy recently and haven’t been blogging as frequently! Anyway, I’ve just put up my braces and will blog about it soon!

I recently have this favourite belt that I love very much! The best thing is, it only cost me around $4 plus! Bought it from Platinum Mall in Bangkok!
Photobucket
Front view….
Photobucket
Its a wrap-around belt! The thicker, runched up part is the front as shown above and there’s 2 long strings at each end. I’ll criss-cross it at the back and bring it to the front to tie it in a ribbon! So its a “any size fits” belt!
Photobucket
Used it on my min floral dress….
Photobucket
and on my grey polka dots shirt to add a little definition!
(although I do feel that the shade of my belt is a little too warm for the cool tone shirt….heh….)
xoxoxoxo!!

A Gift from Alice!

I was supposed to meet Rachel and Alice last Sunday for a meal before school reopens. But I was very sick and it was postponed to Thursday. But but but I was still sick and had to cancel the dinner and shift it to next week.

Alice said she wanted to have a meet up before the year ends, and she also wanted to quickly pass me the gift she bought for me during her Europe honeymoon. Since she said “quickly”, I really thought that she bought food for me….
But no…. I just saw what she bought for me. She took photos of the gift and tagged me on Facebook just now. I was very surprised! She spent too much on the gift already! Haiyo I felt so paiseh! No wonder Rachel (Alice’s spy…. hahaha) sent me an SMS sometime back telling me not to buy a Longchamp bag for the moment. Out of curiousity, I asked her why. But our dear Rachel brushed me off saying that its a long story and she will update me on it when we meet up…. Smart girl la!
So here’s the photo that I took from Facebook!!
Photobucket
When its folded up!
Photobucket
Ta-da!!!! And its in my favourite colour— blue!!!
I really appreciate it a lot. Thanks Alice, and she’ll help me thank her hubby too! Muacks! Love you….
PS: Really… I dunno what to say to express how I really feel…. Alice, you know la, hor? :)
