Another Eventful Weekend!

Friday Night

I was looking forward to the Vesak Day holiday to have a good sleep till the afternoon! Had a very good rest and Dear Dear went to buy lunch (at 4plus in the afternoon… so maybe we call it tea time? haha..) for me. I had my favourite pasta from the Sengkang market! They really got very good pasta and a there’s a wide variety to choose from!!

And since I’ve no work to do for the next few days I joined Dear Dear in his mahjong session at Ezane’s friend’s place. No… I’m not playing, I’m always watching. Dear Dear just taught me how to play the game last year and i’m very bad at it. And with the lack of practice, I’m losing all the time so I decided that the best strategy is to either watch Dear Dear play and learn the game first, or to play Viwawa! Hahaha….

A pic we took in the lift before heading out! heh!

Btw, that Crystal is really rude… and super 霸道!!!

Saturday

Saturday was the day to go watch Sugie’s performance! He acted and sang so well at “Liao Zhai Rocks!” the other time and so I was looking forward to watch his new play on Saturday! Woke up really late again and got Dear Dear to call Sugie to ask him what time was his show at. Diaoz~~ we woke up at around 2pm and Sugie said the afternoon show was at 3pm! Oopss! It will be impossible to reach there on time! But luckily, Sugie got us complimentary tickets for the evening show! I’m so glad I didn’t miss it!!

Dear Dear and I headed to the Expo earlier to go to the “Licence 2 Play” fair to get good deals for a TV. Actually, it was Sugie who SMSed Dear Dear to tell him to head down to grab the 42″ TV. I was telling Dear Dear that Sugie must have buay tahan-ed our TV for the longest time to alert us to go to the fair… hahahahh! But anyway we headed there and got a good deal! A 42″ Toshiba TV for $999, inclusive of delivery and setting up! So happy!! But it will only be delivered to us this coming Friday. Yeah!!!!!

We didn’t expect to finish our TV shopping so fast so we still had a lot of time on our hands before the start of the show. Then, we discovered that there’s a food fair there! And what do you think we did? Hahaha.. of course we headed to grab some nom noms! Yummy! I was too busy with the food for me to go snapping away. Furthermore, it was super crowded!! We had our fill and of course, for the rest of the evening, both of us smelled like walking food courts…. zzzz…

The old building that looks so eerie in the night….

Once you enter from the carpark, it just doesn’t feel like SG at all. It felt like I was at the stopovers while traveling on coaches in Malaysia.

I was reading the news online yesterday when I came across this articles. “Tanjong Pagar Station to Move“.
I’m glad I popped by before it becomes something that we can only find in the history textbook!

Kele the Architect!

A few days ago, I called Dear Dear after work to see if he wanted anything for lunch. He asked me to go home quickly and see what Kele did.

Photobucket
Kele did this all by himself!
Kele’s playpen has always been placed by the wall in the shape of a rectangle. He pushed it around and changed it into a hexagon! Kele is such a fine architect! He proved it again!! I show and post more of his architectural works next time!
Dear told me when he woke up, he walked to the living room and was very amused when he saw this. He reasoned that the weather must have been so freaking hot that Kele wants to get closer to the fan. (Haha, yes… Kele has a fan to himself and its on 24/7..) Then, he switched on the air-con for our little darling. All the little furry kids must be feeling terrible recently. The weather’s so hot! It was only when the air-con is on that Kele started moving around and playing.

My sister commented that they had the same hair colour! Muahahaha!
Kele must have inherited it from Mark…

Ocean of Joy – 5th May 2010

Jingyi finally gave birth to little Ocean already! I went to the hospital as soon as I could yesterday and oh… my little nephew is so cute! He really resembles Summer when she was a newborn… Summer and Ocean… I was telling my sister their names make me feel so hot! hahaha… Jingyi and I are two are two polar opposites. She loves the sun and the sea… I try to stay in the shade… hahaha…

Photobucket
She doesn’t look like she’s just given birth! She looks so energetic and pretty! The glow of motherly love…

Happy family! Jingyi, Nick and their 2nd child!
Photobucket
When I was about to enter the lift to head to Jingyi’s ward, I saw a familiar face exiting the lift. We paused for a while and went into a little frenzy! haha… Jiexiong! I haven’t seen him for years! What a coincidence, his sister just gave birth too! And both of us went to pay each other’s sister a visit! I haven’t seen his family for many many years! So happy to see them again! To add to the joy, it was such a happy occasion!
Photobucket
I’m carrying Ocean and he opened one eye! heheheh…
Photobucket
The three of us wanted to take a photo together and Nick told me to move closer to Jingyi. But i couldn’t move! I still don’t know how to handle newborns, they look so fragile. I didn’t dare to move… hahaha…. and hence this photo!!
Anyway… Summer was really excited to meet her new brother and had been “talking” to her little brother for many months already. She’s always asking why Didi is taking so long to come out. Summer was so excited yesterday. She’s so cute too! :)

Thermos Bottle with Love!

A few days ago, Dear Dear called me up in the afternoon asking me what I thought were very weird questions. He asked me how much water do I add into one packet of instant coffee. Then, his next question was how many cups of coffee do I drink a day. I really do not know how much water I add each time, its always an estimate! Hahaha… So i asked him to wait and I trotted to the kitchen, took out a stick of my Cafe 21 and read the preparation instructions. Woo, so it is 150ml of hot water per packet of instant coffee. I asked him why he asked me those questions for but he wouldn’t say. I thought I was going to get a scolding from him when he comes back…. for drinking too much coffee…heh…

I heard the clanking sound of the keys and I skipped to the door to open the door for Dear Dear. As usual, we greet each other with all our rubbish, and then, I spotted him holding something in his right hand. Curious, I asked him what he bought. He was smiling brightly and he said it was for me!
I took my gift excitedly, ran to the sofa and opened it up. Its a thermos bottle, in my favourite colour! I’ve been saying that I want a thermos flask a few weeks ago! I always love my drinks warm! What’s touching was that he REMEMBERS it! :)
Photobucket
My new thermos bottle!
Isn’t the colour lovely? I love it a lot!
Dear Dear says there’s a 1 litre bottle and this 0.3litre bottle. He decided on this smaller one so that its easier for the small and puny me to carry it around, and if one serving of coffee is 150ml, I can prepare 2 servings at once to save the trouble! So thoughtful of him isn’t it? Heh…
Photobucket
Dear Dear! And my new bottle! I shalll name my new bottle 小蓝!
Photobucket
Its a good bottle!
Photobucket
Brought it to work the very next day.
Washed it and filled it up with my favourite hot coffee. Its a luxury to have piping hot drinks all day!
Photobucket
Look! The coffee inside 小蓝!
Photobucket
When I depress the red button, the lock is released and I can pour the coffee out into the cover of the bottle that doubles up as a cup. After that, press the black button to lock it again. So convenient!
谢谢Dear Dear!
