(Photo Intensive Post..)
Dear Dear is one year older already!
We actually planned for a fun-filled day of sports at Sentosa, followed by a surprise dinner for him. But things didn’t go as planned as he has got work to settle last minute and we could only head to Sentosa in the late afternoon. Never mind la! Work is more important… We are going to carry out the activities that we missed next time!
We reached Sentosa at around 4plus in the afternoon and went to take a peek at Resort World Sentosa. A month ago, I was still hoping that Universal Studios will be opened by 12 March so that I can bring Dear Dear there for his birthday together with some friends, and have plenty of fun there. But but but, news came out and said that it will only be opened on the 18th March…sigh… a week too late…
Nothing much in RWS, maybe we’ll plan another trip for a hotel stay or a casino visit. But I just can’t bear to part with the $100 levy because i really don’t know how to gamble and i’m so sure i am just going to be throwing away my money into the deep blue sea~~~ But still, have to just go and kaypoh a bit someday.. hahahaha… ok…i digressed. Let’s move back to our day at Sentosa.
Dear Dear brought me to the Butterfly Park which I proudly said that I’ve never been there before. He was exclaiming about it being one of the oldest attractions in Sentosa (I think he’s implying that im a mountain turtle… >_<||| ). I’ll post up the photos of the attractions in another post, since this one is already gonna be super photo intensive already… Oh… and btw, the personnel at the Butterfly Park took a touristy photo for us there, and we BOUGHT IT. For $15. We were saying that we could take better photos ourselves and we are going to laugh at ourselves every time we see that photo for spending money on it… hahahaha… but again, we concluded that its good to be silly once in a while! hahahaha! We had fun anyway!
We went to the Cineblast where we watch 3D movies. We chose one roller-coaster ride movie where we sat in a cabin and watch the simulation. Its pretty real man!!!!
And the surprise dinner. I booked a table at The Barnacles at Rasa Sentosa and especially asked for a nice table with a good view. Dear Dear was pleasantly surprised when we reached there.
Look at the cute ash-tray at Rasa Sentosa!
At the Barnacles, Dear Dear looking through the menu. Everything looked so delicious that we took very long to decide on what we want to eat.
Look at the view! So nice!
Restaurant by the seaside is such a good idea and very romantic! haha!
The garlic bread is FANTASTIC. I love it with the dips that came with it, Dear Dear prefer it plain.
The breads and the dips! Dear Dear likes the breadstick. It does not taste like biscuit. Its crunchy bread and very fragrant! I picked the round bread right in the centre. I always love all kinds of breads and this taste herby. I love it with the dips (again..) and dip it into all of them!
Good place to have a drink and chill out a little.
I said something funny and made him laugh and ended up with this picture…
Appetizers for Dear Dear – Yin Yang.
I like the prawns!
My Appetizers – Cream of Asparagus.
My favourite among all the dishes.
I asked Dear Dear to try and after taking a sip, he said, “Its not my cup of tea… No, its not my bowl of soup…”
As the sun starts to set….
Dear Dear’s main course of mixed grill….
My main course – Tenderloin Steak
Both of the main course has this potato gratin and its yummy yummy…
I pre-booked a surprised birthday cake for the birthday bo
y from the restaurant. The staff brought it out and sang a birthday song for him at the end of our meal. There was supposed to be a live band that accompanies but the band would be there only 45 mins later and I thought that Dear Dear was already tired so i decided not to wait.
Tiramisu!
Happy Birthday Mr Mark
Make a wish!
Cake cutting!
In the end we were too full and we packed the cake home for supper and gobbled it up when we were watching late night TV.
May the year be filled with happiness and success for my Dear.
Happy Birthday!
