And while the Taipei Countdown party is keeping me entertained on TV, I discovered the photobooth in my Macbook and decided to play with it! So fun! But its really a bad idea to be camwhoring without any bit of makeup on…hahaha..

小C : No not I buy one.

小心: Oh Mummy bought it as a Christmas present for you?

小C : (very matter of factly…) No lah.. Santa Claus gave it to me.

小心: (sudden realization that 小C really believes in Santa Claus) Oh, I see. So did you say thank you?

小C : No la, I sleep already ma… Santa Claus came after 12 midnight. So Santa Claus gave it to Mummy and Mummy gave it to me.

And 小C wrote a letter to Santa Claus, thanking him and even helped her little brother to write one too! It was so adorable and so childlike. This is the first time I came across a child like 小C who firmly believes in one.

I grew up in a Chinese family and my parents never told me about Santa Claus. I only knew about Santa Claus via popular culture and media and it never occurred to me that he was real. Even when I was very young, I kind of assumed that he was fake since I’ve never seen him or heard about anything like that in my family. Furthermore, he’s an Ang Moh and I don’t know Ang Mohs at that age. To me, Santa Claus was a cartoon character, someone that I’ll see in the shopping centers and on Christmas cards.

There was once, though, when I was in Primary 2, when my big cousin told my sister and me to each hang a sock at my window on Christmas Eve so that Santa Claus will put in a present for me. I never even had the time to ponder over whether Santa Claus is real, when my father walked into the room and said, “骗人的啦…是 你的爸爸妈妈放的啦！”

Therefore, of course, I’ve never written any letters to Santa Claus before. I think I should ask my 3 year old niece, Mer Mer, to write one. I’m sure my sister did buy her Christmas presents….Haha.. But seriously, taking my family culture into consideration… I’ve got a nagging feeling that she’s gonna look at me and think that I’m an idiot and tell me, “骗人的啦…是 你的爸爸妈妈放的啦！”

Hahaha….

可乐一看到，就很好奇，一直在床上走来走去，东嗅嗅，西闻闻！

可乐好像很喜欢喔！

好可爱喔！就为我的宝贝可乐弄了一个 profile! 哈哈哈哈！

Dear Dear accompanied me to Outram MRT station to collect my lenses and was very surprised to see the seller being such a young young girl!! She’s a very sweet young girl, and if I would to guess how old she is, I’ll say not more than 14? Yes… that young! And she was very cute and nice… haha…

Smart young girl isn’t she? School holidays and she learned to organize sprees and earn some pocket money. Youngsters spend so much time on the internet and rather than playing games and chatting aimlessly this little girl decided to do something with it!

I bought a total of 8 pairs, 4 pairs for me and 4 pairs for Dear Dear.

Bought every colour, except green, which I’ve already bought the previous round.

So exciting! I’ve already opened the purple colour pair!

Kele never fails to amaze me.  But the incident last week where he tried to save his Daddy was one of the most amazing thing he had done!

Kele was running around the house that day, and I was sitting on the floor watching him and patting him whenever he comes along.  After hours of sitting on the floor, I told Kele I’ll go to the sofa area to rest my painful back and so, Kele went hopping around the house and I was surfing the internet in the living room.

Suddenly I heard shuffles of Kele’s feet as he came running very very fast towards me.  He started stamping his feet even before he reached me.  (For those who are unfamiliar with habits of little bunnies, stamping its feet means that it sense danger and its trying to tell you. ) He stood up on his two hind legs and kept stamping his right foot.  Seeing that i quickly go to him and asked him what happened gently, and told him that there’s no danger in the house.  However, Kele turned and dashed away in the other direction, stopping and checking once in a while to see if I’m following him.  I only understood what Kele was trying to tell me when we reached the study room.

(I’ve knocked down the walls of the study wall in my house and replaced the walls with glass.  It’s transparent and Dear Dear uses the study room as his studio where he do his composing, arrangements and recordings.)

From outside the study room, I saw Dear Dear lying on the floor sleeping.  He was tired and wanted a short rest in between his work.  Its was at that moment that I understood what Kele wanted to tell me.  Kele must have thought that his Daddy had fainted or died inside the study room seeing him  curled up on the floor like that.  I quickly shouted to wake Dear Dear and told him what our amazing Kele had done.  We were so amazed and so happy!  We planted a kiss on Kele’s little head.

Isn’t it amazing what a little bunny knows? I’ve read stories about bunnies alerting their owners when the house caught fire and saved lives of the people.  Its amazing to experience it first hand!
