I am finally giving up on blogging on a regular basis. A sabbatical would be a close enough description for now since I haven’t given too much thought into continuing in the near future. My long vacation away from blogging may also mean a departure from MyFatPocket as my managing company but no confirmation on that yet. No worries, I’ll keep you posted in case I decide to move my blog elsewhere.
The joys of writing for the love of it has been lost in the sea of sponsorship commitments and publishing restrictions that go hand in hand with accepting commission for my works. There was a time where I didn’t mind the exchange since it paid me well. Aside from the self censorship from honest to god reviews, I think I’ve grown a little too old to run around town attending events with bloggers almost a decade younger than me anymore. So I’m calling it quits.
This is not farewell. Its a see you soon. Thank you for being there in my journey of self discovery and experimentation of the cosmetic kind. Do drop by once in a while. The posts will still be coming albeit infrequently as and when the mood arises. Till we meet again peeps!

In the spirit of Christmas, I am doing a festive themed post of my goodies received from BornPrettyStore.com
Above is my simple rendition for the holidays that can easily be replicated by any D.I.Y. enthusiast with the stamping plates featured. I usually prefer freehand drawing because it’s more satisfying albeit taxing on the eyes. Once in awhile though, stamping subs as a wonderful stand-in when inspiration isn’t on the cards.
The mini plate (http://www NULL.bornprettystore NULL.com/xmas-deer-fireworks-nail-stamp-template-christmas-image-plate-born-pretty-bp82-p-23265 NULL.html) (# 23265) is a great starter piece you can stretch your dollar with for New Year’s Day celebrations as well with the fireworks thrown in but if it’s “go big or go home” for you, then I suggest just going straight for the deluxe plate (http://www NULL.bornprettystore NULL.com/xmas-snowflake-nail-stamp-template-christmas-image-plate-born-pretty-l032-65cm-p-23268 NULL.html) (# 23268) to fulfil all your season’s needs.
F.Y.I. Stamping polish can be found here (http://www NULL.bornprettystore NULL.com/stamping-polish-c-268_94_114 NULL.html?ver=9541). No need to thank me
As a stamping virgin (believe it or not!), here’s my two cents worth of advice for achieving crisp, beautiful images:
Stamping tools matter… ALOT!
Invest in a good set to bite potential headaches in the bud
Have paper handy
Dry runs are a necessity even for pros, no one’s perfect *wink!*
Prep with Top Coat
Makes for easy scratch-off removal of mistakes. Using gel polish for this is even better!
Psst! Don’t forget to pee off the top coat!

I’ve finally caught on to ombre fashion that’s been flooding Instagram posts for weeks and while I don’t intend to post a tutorial on it due to the sheer number readily available on the web, you could always do a search yourself and order a set of sponges (http://www NULL.bornprettystore NULL.com/3pcs-gradient-nails-soft-sponges-color-fade-manicure-p-12037 NULL.html) at their site to achieve the same gradient base as pictured.
You know the drill, get an extra 10% off your order when you use my code VNGK31 at checkout. All products can be found at the Bornprettystore.com (http://www NULL.bornprettystore NULL.com/) site unless specified otherwise.
Have a Merry Christmas honeys!

If you’re looking to give your do a major style overhaul in time for the Christmas season…
Then I suggest you put your hair in the loving hands of 99 Percent Hair Studio.
Pfffft! Were you the least surprised? Having been a loyal follower since August 2013, how could you be? *wink!*
How time flies though doesn’t it? Apart from the obvious fact that I am not getting any younger, it is also fall/winter season yet again and not very long till Christmas. Bah, humbug! My latest visit to the salon took up a whopping four and a half hours to achieve, and for good reason. When it comes to the year end party period, it is absolutely necessary that a doll has to look the part no?
Behold! The full list of what I had to go through for soft, silky spirals in shades of midnight autumn.
Like the holidays, your hair needs a rest once in awhile too. Despite all the chemical treatment I was subjected to, my stylist took the trouble to squeeze in their latest 2-step Olaplex treatment that works to strengthen your hair even after crazy procedures such as bleaching. Your eyes aren’t deceiving you, I did say “2-step”. The third item you see pictured is their post-process home use product to maintain all that goodness for longer.
Note! Just so you know, my go-to person Fion is currently on maternity leave till 2016 so Ann took the reigns this time around. You heard it straight from the horse’s mouth so make that mental note and book the right personnel for the job folks!
Have a happy hair day everyone!
