Juice Cleansing With Antidote!

So recently I thought I needed to shed some weight as I gained quite a bit over the festive periods hence when I discovered Antidote –  a juice cleanse programme , I knew I had to try it. I have tried a couple of juice fasts before and they have worked perfectly well for me so I was more than ready for this.

There are five types of cleanse to choose from – Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Master and Active cleanse. And you can also choose from 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10 day cleanse.

I went for the 5 day Master Cleanse which is a 100% vegetable cleanse that washes your system with nothing but pure nutrition.

I allowed  a couple of friends to try out the juice and they actually LOVED IT (yes, even guys)! The taste was more of an interesting one to me. I liked that when I drank it, it made me feel healthy, clean and refreshed all at the same time however the taste probably took me some time to get used to it. Thank goodness for the beetroot juice and almond nut milk that made it better! The juice texture was smooth and tasted quite nice after getting used to.

The first day was ok but by the third day, I got rather uneasy and wanted to eat and munch something. I did try not to eat anything and only resorted to drinking soup when I needed something savoury. Each day comprises of 6 bottles of juice. Each bottle is titled with the number, name and ingredients of the juice. Find out more information on each bottle below:

1 – Mt. Fuji (Skin Hydration) :: Japanese Cucumber, Romaine, Spinach

2 – Crater Lake (Body Recovery) :: Pure Coconut Water, Japanese Cucumber, Romaine, Mint, Parsley, Lemon

3 – Mount Eden (Body Detox) :: Japanese Cucumber, Celery, Romaine, Mint, Parsley, Lemon, Ginger
4 – Mount Eden (Body Detox) :: Japanese Cucumber, Celery, Romaine, Mint, Parsley, Lemon, Ginger

5 – Angel Falls (Liver Cleanse) :: Carrot, Beetroot, Lemon, Coconut Oil, Ginger

6 – Original Almond Milk (Heart Health) :: Raw Almonds, Alkaline Water

On the 3rd day of a 3-5 Day Cleanse, the 5th drink will be replaced with –

5 – Charcoal Coconut (Toxin Absorbing) :: Activated Charcoal, Pure Coconut Water, Lemon

I lost about 2-3kg after the entire cleanse and am already thinking of trying out more! If you are new to juice fasting, you might want to try out the beginner cleanse however if you think you are up for a challenge, why not go straight for the Master Cleanse like I did? You might be in for a treat! Order through here.

A Day with ACUVUE Define Lens!

So I am not exactly a fan of Contact Lenses because they are mostly uncomfortable especially the coloured contacts I like! Not only are they uncomfortable they can be rather drying and becomes very difficult to take it out after a day of wearing as it tends to stick to the eyeball. These issues made me resist wearing contacts on a daily basis and knowing I have these issues, my good friend recommended me to try out ACUVUE Define lenses which I did and I am now a true convert. Their beauty lens, 1-DAY ACUVUE® Define® keeps my eyes moist throughout the day, adding that natural shine to my eyes making them look sparkly and sharp. You might want to stay tune to the end while I tell you how the lens keeps up with my demanding days!

Committed to bringing healthy vision to everyone, everyday, ACUVUE® users can look forward to a premium and comprehensive  contact lens fitting experience at ACUVUE® Experience Centres (AEC).

For the first time, I went through a comprehensive eye health check provided by Choy Peng, my Eye Care Professional (ECP) at Optique Paris Miki (Takashimaya) LEVEL 4 TAKASHIMAYA DEPARTMENT STORE, SINGAPORE 238873.

First eye vision check

Besides the comprehensive eye health assessment, I was given a personalized consultation which allowed me to understand my lifestyle and vision correction needs. During the session, I was given an accurate vision measurement and prescription. I was also given advice on contact lens fitting, removal and maintenance.

Air pressure test going on

The comprehensive check includes checking against eye pressure, and you will be referred to the specialist if the eye pressure is too high. I then went through their slit lamp biomicroscophy and was checked against any inflammation, infection, tumours. My lashes, cornea and eyelids were thoroughly checked as well.

My ECP was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. During the session, I got to try on the lens and see how it fits. The lens fitted well and I was completely SOLD.

Washing my hands clean before fitting on lens

Honestly, wearing contact lenses may appear daunting at first but with a little practice and patience, you will be pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it is!

Food Review – Baguette, Medz and Ku De Ta

Happy Wednesday guys!

This is a throwback to last Saturday’s activities. It was a typical long day for me, I had to meet 3 different group of friends.

Met my Le Mini Gang clique for brunch at CMPB, Demsey. As this was our usual hang out place, I did not take any photos haha.

Took some photos along the way while waiting for my second group of friend for dinner and dessert.

Outfit of the Day (OOTD) details

Top: Bershka
Skirt: Far East Plaza
Bag: Chanel
Earrings: Bangkok

We had a horrible experience at Medz. The grilled chicken my friend had was uncooked and all red inside. We asked for a change and the management agreed to change to another dish however the wait was too long. Along the way, the servers also accidentally delivered the wrong dishes to us a couple of times, which was rather annoying.

After dinner, we went for dessert at Paris Baguette. We ordered a couple of sweets for sharing. We had mini croissants, twisted chocolate french pastries, egg tart, and pudding.

After dessert, we split and I went to attend a girlfriend’s party at Ku De Ta.

Thank you for reading, guys! Till the next update.

Love,
Sydney
