Look at multiple preset menu. I’m hungry! Hahaha. This comes with smart 24 hours preset timer too. Imagine waking up to hot yummy porridge or coming home to warm fluffy rice where we just prepare everything in the pot and let the cooker do the magic, I like it. The cooker has soft touch control with LED display, very user friendly.

Guess what I’m making today? Not cooking rice, porridge or soup. Not steaming frozen siew mai or lotus paste buns too. I will be making my own yoghurt with Midea cooker’s Yogurt Making Function!

The plan is really simple. Press ‘Cook Menu’ till you selected ‘Yogurt’ as an option, put in your ingredients and give a period of 8 hours patience. Viola! A healthy low sugar home made yogurt is formed!

A 1L of cow’s milk can yields 100ml of yogurt but I’m using oats milk instead which is suitable for lactose intolerant people. The 2-in-1 coffee powder I’ve added prior to fermentation is optional and you can experiment with cocoa powder, fruits purée or anything you fancy too! The flavors should be added after the yogurt is formed but I’m experimenting for this recipe and it turned out well for me.

Homemade yogurt is full of gut friendy bacteria and should be eaten on regular basis. You can add any toppings you like and I like chia seeds and cocoa nibs in particularly. Drizzle some honey too if you like it sweet but I will usually skip it because of trying to reduce my sugar intake whenever I could.

I read somewhere that mood is made in the gut as there is a constant bi-directional communication between the brain and GI tract. The healthier your GI tract or gut health is, the happier you are. No harm believing and eat the right yogurt since sugary store bought ones are not exactly healthy anyway.

Mushroom lovers will certainty relish this dish which features four varieties sautéed to perfection fungi: porcini, black, button and portobello.


The meat is marinated for at least eight hours with port wine to yield a sweet flavour, then braised with red and port wine before serving.


Instead of mint jelly, Chef Kenny uses prune juice mixed with bell pepper and lemon to create a special sauce for the lamb chops. Black prunes are soaked overnight in red wine and flattened with a spoon for chunky finish. Sweet, sour and fruity, the sauce enhances the intense flavor of this Australia sourced lamb.


A fan of duck meat, pan-searing is Chef Kenny’s favourite style as it gives a savoury and robust flavor to the meat, which balanced nicely with the cream sauce.


This stew is a simmering pot of seafood cooked in tomato and shell fish stock. Chef Kenny adds baby abalones, which had been slow cooked for a more tender bite, while the mussels are sourced from Australia and is one of the best in the world.

A topical anesthetic will be applied and you may experience injection site discomfort in the treatment process. However, this varies from person to person and you should not receive treatment if you have an active infection or skin inflammation near the planned injection site.

After each treatment session, I experienced slight swelling, which can give me a preview of how I may look once my shallowness is filled. The swelling on average subsides within a few days and the wrinkles will temporarily reappear as the gradual process of collagen replacement continues.

Following an average of three treatment sessions over a few months as what Dr Dylan recommended for me can produce a more natural, younger looking appearance that is potentially long lasting. During the course of treatment, Dr Dylan may adjust your treatment plan to help you reveal a natural-looking appearance that’s uniquely yours too.


Some patients may experience injection site pain, redness, bruising, bleeding, itching, or swelling. Other side effects may include the delayed development of non-visible, small bumps under the skin sometimes noticeable when pressing on the treated area.

It is better that you can take SinEcch a week before your procedure to reduce the side effects . This is not necessary but can be an aid for someone who is  prone to bruising.

Also, try to stop your skin supplements including fish oil as they have blood thinning effect. When you blood is thinner, you will bleed a little more during the treatment.


After each treatment session with Sculptra, give yourself a good but gentle facial massage. This easy step will let you achieve better result with Sculptra if you are disciplined with it. Massage the treated area for 5 minutes 5 times a day for 5 days after treatment is highly recommended by Dr Dylan.


The result? A refined, more youthful looking appearance over time that are potentially long lasting. Look at my eyes area, temple and laugh lines! These are something that cannot be digitally enhanced but only with the help of Sculptra.


With my 3 sessions of Sculptra at Celevenus, I must say it does work!

The work of Sculptra is so natural but noticeable, I get compliments for looking better in appearance rather than I look unnaturally beautiful (this could happen with traditional fillers). The final result from my 3rd session of Sculptra done in Sept 18 needs another 3 months to take effect but I’m already very happy with the result I have gotten till date.

The downpoint of Sculptra? It is a little priceier than normal fillers and it took longer to cultivate the result. But with a final beauty look that is more natural and long lasting, Sculptra definitely have my vote. Considering myself as a foodie and beauty blogger who is constantly on the go without proper rest (I sleep like 3 hours daily) and diet (I eat all sorts of food 24/7), the beauty and plumping effect of Sculptra seemed to be good already.

They recommended diners to start the meal with Tie Guan Yin Tea to whet the appetite and Oo Long Tea to cleanse the palate after the meal. This gesture is really thoughtful and enhances the meal.

The limited edition menu of seven a la carte Chef-recommended delicacies will be available on top of the restaurant’s regular menu as part of the 7th anniversary celebration! Skilfully prepared by the team of experienced chefs, these specialties include time- honoured dishes as well as unique takes on popular favorites. Some of the highlights include:

Crispy Fried Pork Belly and Water Chestnut Rolls Tossed in Sweet & Sour Sauce (潮式酸甜裹肉) is a heritage dish comprises marinated minced pork belly and crunchy water chestnut wrapped with pig’s caul fat – a truly traditional way of preparation. The rolls are first steamed to seal the flavours and moisture, then deep- fried to a golden brown before being glazed in a sweet and sour sauce. This is priced at $18, $27 and $36 for small, medium and large portions respectively.

Homemade Fish Balls and Fish Cake Braised with ‘Tianjin’ Cabbage in Superior Broth (潮州鱼丸鱼饼绍菜煲). Yellow eels; prized for their sweet flesh, are used in these handcrafted fish balls and fish cakes. Tianjin cabbage adds a comforting sweetness to the superior broth; rendered from hours of simmering chicken and pork bones. This is priced at $22, $33 and $44 for small, medium and large portions respectively.


Along with the celebratory dishes, diners can also indulge in a tempting variety of authentic Teochew specialties that Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine has become synonymous with.
The Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine Classic Platter ($58 for six pax, $98 for ten pax) is a curated selection of starters such as Braised Duck, Deep Fried ‘Ngoh Hiang’, Deep Fried Liver Rolls; made with minced pig and chicken liver, yam and water chestnut wrapped in beancurd skin, and Pig Trotter Terrine – a collagen-rich, time-honoured delicacy which requires meticulous preparation where pig skin is slow-cooked in superior stock till tender.

Other specialties include Teochew Oyster Omelette ‘Gooey style’ ($22 per portion); plump oysters pan-fried with eggs and a tapioca starch slurry and cooked until just set; rendering a soft centre with crisp surface and edges, Teochew Fried Kway Teow with Diced Kai Lan ($18 for small, $27 for medium, $36 for large) which is redolent of ‘wok hei’, or the breath of the wok, and the quintessential Teochew desserts of Sweet Yam Paste with Pumpkin and Gingko Nuts and ‘Tau Suan’ with Gingko Nuts ($5.20/person for both).

With an array of fresh seafood dishes every Thursdays to SundaysSpice Brasserie from Park Royal Kitchener takes on a brand new seafood buffet theme with the “Gifts of the Sea” dinner buffet. Featuring an elevated selection of shellfish delights, guests can expect a tank display with live prawns at the show-cooking stations, serving Wok Braised Live “San Har” King Prawns Noodle that features fresh prawns with silky smooth noodles.
