HAVE YOU HEARD?! Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) is finally stocked on Sephora Singapore! The highly anticipated brand, launched by Anastasia Soare, an icon in the beauty industry known for creating nearly perfect brows using the golden ratio method, is finally here! It was truly an honour to meet the maestro herself, the #QueenofBrows, during the launch party at 1880 last week, and I even got my palette signed by her!
ABH was founded in 1997 and was expanded to feature beyond brow makeup such as lip, contour and eye products. My favourite from the brand? The eyeshadow palettes of course! I am a fan of the eye palettes and I bought the Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette, the Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette and also, my favourite, the Norvina Eyeshadow Palette, which is also the one I’ll be reviewing here.
Concealers are my best friend; I can’t live without one because I’m always in need of some coverage for my pigmentation-filled skin. All those acne scars got me super-reliant on concealers, especially high coverage ones.
Thanks to the team from Too Faced, I got to try one of the best concealers (maybe I should do a top 5 concealers post?) thus far – Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer.
This concealer is no ordinary product – as its name suggests, it’s a multi-use product that helps you to conceal, contour, highlight and retouch, at any time of the day. With 20 shades catered to the fairest to the deepest of skin tones, it’s no wonder this is perfect to contour and highlight as well.
Masking is something I can never live without in my everyday life. You may think it’s crazy, but yes, I mask every day. Due to my dry combination skin, I have to mask as often as I can, so that I can pack my skin with ample hydration and allow it to repair itself quickly.
Masking can be relaxing but for working adults like us, time is forever an issue. I often find masking a chore because of how much time I need to sacrifice at night just to do it. A usual sheet/clay mask will take you at least 20 minutes and who in the world has got time for that?!
Just as you’re fighting the thought to either sleep or mask, FOREO has its latest invention, the UFO Face Mask Device, to solve your dilemma! You only need 90 seconds to mask… say whaaat?!
“Lipstick is all about having fun and expressing your mood at any given moment,” says Rihanna.
I totally agree with her that we should all have fun with our lipstick colours! I mean, it’s 2018! It’s time to let loose and do something you’ve never done before, like putting on green lipstick and strutting the streets.
As Rihanna says, “This collection makes it easier than ever because there’s a colour for everyone.” True that, she created the entire collection to be universally flattering for all skin tones. Whether you are fair, medium or tanned skin, these 14 gorgeous shades will complement you.
Just 2 weeks ago, the whole world stopped for Rihanna, as @badgalriri launched her very own makeup line dedicated for all skin colors, all undertones, from all countries. With foundation in 40 shades, skinsticks in 30 shades, Fenty Beauty was created and made for every girl in the world.
First things first, disclaimer! Note that this is not a post with sponsored products as I wasn’t provided with any and these two highlighters were solely purchased with my own pocket money. Let’s be honest here. I know that I have been reviewing a lot of products provided by PR companies and the brands themselves but I just want to put it out there that I share my most honest thoughts even if the campaign was paid or products sponsored!
*Back to Fenty Beauty* The two products that caught my attention immediately following the launch were the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife (seriously the world went crazy for this) and the Matchstix Shimmer Skinstick in Confetti. I bought them both with the help of a sweet friend who was at the press launch at Sephora ION.
