Urban Decay: Feminine Palette Review & Swatches

All the school work has been taking a toll on the amount of free time I have. Now my make-up blog is being abandoned because of the endless number of project meetings and late night studying in school. I finally managed to squeeze out some time after approximately 2 months to do a short review on the Urban Decay Fun, Feminine and Dangerous Palettes for their 2012 Holiday collection.

Today’s review is going to be… The Feminine Palette, my favourite of the three! (: I simply love the purple-pink casing with the black laced details (there is some layering going on between the purple base and the lace and it’s so cool! It’s just too bad the camera can’t seem to capture that 3D effect. and what’s interesting about these palettes are that they double up as a mini wallet/clutch except that you can’t really place your phones or bank cards inside due to the magnetic strip inside. So this is how the palette looks like:

theBalm Cosmetics: Hot Mama Blush & Mary-Lou Manizer Review & Swatches

Hello lovelies! I wanted to kickstart this new year with a product review on theBalm Cosmetics. I personally was enthralled by the unique packaging that theBalm’s products has and it sort of reminds me of Benefit Cosmetics as well.

Here’s the Hot Mama Blush with literally, a hot sexy mama on the front cover! What I like about this packaging is that the cardboard is really lightweight and it’s easy for travelling. Just pop it into your pouch and you’re good to go! Hot Mama retails for S$29.90 at Sasa stores islandwide but I got it for only S$22 at the introductory discount!

When opened, there’s a little mirror followed by the blush! I think it’s more than a full-sized blush and it can probably last me for years or even my whole lifetime assuming it doesn’t go bad. Anyway, I like that this blush packaging is not like the others in which there is mini brush given because personally, I don’t use the brushes provided in any blushers.

Happy 2013!

Happy New Year everyone! It’s a brand new year, a leap from 2012. I must say that 2012 had been a really eventful year for me because a whole lot of things changed in my life. I guess 2013 will be a brand new year, a brand new start for me especially in my love life.

Nevertheless, my resolutions for 2013 are:

1. Love myself and those who truly love and care for me.
2. Forgive and forget.
3.Study even harder this semester to attain my desired GPA.
4. Spend more time with my new puppy, Baby Brownie (toy poodle).
5. Organise my room/things regularly.
6. Create new pieces regularly for Threadless Cove Jewelry.

Right, I guess that’ll be all for now!

Stay tuned for a review on theBalm Cosmetics soon! (:

Sigma Paris Palette: Review & Swatches

It’s been a while since I updated! Today, I am going to review the highly raved Sigma Paris Palette that was released earlier in May this year. I got this a couple of months ago from Smoochiezz which is now called Oouii (I don’t even know how to properly pronounce this). It is a pity that they discontinued Sigma sprees so if you’re interested, you’ll be able to purchase it from Sigma directly. It costs US$59.

The Sigma Paris Palette is a project that’s assigned to 7 amazing beauty gurus on Youtube (frmheadtotoe, xteeener, MakeupByTiffanyD, macNC40, petrilude, xsparkage and DulceCandy87). They were each assigned to a monument in the City of Lights, Paris, to creatively develop their own shade of eyeshadow based on the location. The entire palette is painstakingly contributed by the 7 gurus to cater to a wide range of skintones, including the blushes and brushes!

Without further ado, let’s take a peek inside the palette!

The palette is made of sturdy cardboard and it is absolutely gorgeous! It comes with a booklet containing all the beauty gurus as well as a description of how they came up with their eyeshadow colours based on the monuments assigned.

It’s Black Friday!

Yet another day of studying.. It’s 11.25PM now and all I hear amidst my quiet room is the incessant pitter-patter from the raindrops outside. Gloomy rain but on the cheery side, it’s BLACK FRIDAY! 😀

Black Friday
The day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. On this day, most major retailers open extremely early and offer promotional sales to kick off the holiday shopping season.

So nevertheless… Here’s some mega awesomeeee Black Friday Sales ONLINE! You get to shop while you’re at home together with all the people in the States!

Urban Decay – It’s just too bad that they don’t directly ship internationally! Rates at MyUS.com are crazy sky high! I’d be paying a lot more for shipping than the products though.
