Heel Before Me With Bellabox Event

A week ago I received this e-mailer from Bellabox on their new “Heel Before Me with Bellabox” event at the W Hotel Singapore. I was so excited because there were door gifts to be given out (I am always excited because Bellabox always gives me surprises!), drinks promos and many more! So I decided to head down to the new W Hotel at Sentosa Cove with a friend to find out more about this event!

When I first stepped into W Hotel, I was SUPER IMPRESSED because the decor was simply too stunning! (I forgot to take pictures T.T) Then it was Woobar located at the 2nd level. Just breathtaking. The bar is pretty big with a lot of funky looking chairs, tables and there are even like “rattan swings” kind of couple seats! How luxurious!

First Impressions: Urban Decay Glinda Palette Review & Swatches

Hola! Oh gosh, the haze recently had and have been really really bad. The PSI today shot up to 155! Please stay hydrated and wear a mask if you’re going outdoors in this crazy hot and hazy weather!

Anyway, here’s the belated Urban Decay Glinda Palette review and swatches! I am absolutely in love with this gorgeous magical-looking palette with the pastels and shimmers. Without further ado, let’s hop into the fascinating land of the Glinda Palette!

The Urban Decay Glinda Palette comes in a hard metal tin which is very sturdy. When you close the palette, you can hear the ‘click’ sound which indicates that it is secure and will not spill all over when you pop this baby into your bag. Overall I love the aurora colours on the casing itself.

Post Surgery Updates

Phew, the battle is over. I have survived the ~2 hours surgery for my left knee. I had attained a slight tear on my Anterior Cruciate Ligament, which is commonly known as ACL, as well as my meniscus on my left knee when I was in a Netball competition in my college days. So, what happens is on and off, I get my left leg bending in sometimes and then bending out again because the ligament is torn and it can no longer hold the entire knee structure in place. At first my condition improved with about 6 months of physiotherapy and I could walk, run, jump and even wear heels again.

But just one fine day, while I wearing my little red wedges (~2 inches only) that I bought from Hong Kong for about S$8 I think, the shoe strap suddenly broke and wala, I tore my ACL completely. Went to the doc’s and 2 doctors said that I have to go for surgery so I picked up my courage and went for it.

So this is a photo of me pre-surgery:

(I look like I’m in a going to bathe with the shower cap and bathrobe)

Unboxing My May 2013 Bellabox!

Resting for 4 days is no joke. I have been staying home, not moving around so much recently because I injured my knee again. I still can’t believe how I can sprain my knee from a strap that broke from my approximately 2-inches high wedges while walking along City Link. Oh well, the only consolation is that my 2 days of MC were well spent at home doing meaningful things like preparing for an amazing concept launch for Threadless Cove. You can check out my handmade jewelry website here.

Another exciting thing I want to talk about is the May Bellabox! I was sooooooooo excited when the doorbell rang and I see the courier man holding a coraly red parcel for me! This is my first time subscribing to the Bellabox and I must say that I am quite impressed with the quality of the box and the items inside. I was skeptical to try these beauty boxes at first but I found the contents of the May Bellabox to be quite useful for me, hence I decided to subscribe for a few more months just to see how it goes!

So, are you Ready for Cannes?

My Everyday Make Up Routine

Hello again! I haven’t had the time to update and post lately due to busy schedules of having to rush to MAAD – the Market for Artists and Designers to showcase my handmade jewelry from Threadless Cove. If you haven’t had a clue on what this is, you can check it out here.  So, as promised, here is my daily make up routine inclusive of the products I use on a daily basis.
The first step to any makeup routine is definitely to cleanse and wash your face. Over here I kind of forgot to include that but I am using the Neutrogena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser which effectively removes all dirt and oil and I feel that it really cleanses pretty thoroughly.
So right after cleansing, the first step would be to tone. Use a cotton swab to absorb a little product so that you can clean it all over your face. Here I am using the Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner Toner. Even though it claims to be 7-in-1, to me, I don’t really see much effect on pore shrinking and all the other claims. Since it is rather aa huge bottle, I decided to just finish using it and try out a new toner. Tell me if you have any recommendations for toner for oily/combination skin! (:
