I just came back from Seoul, Korea, recently and I’m still wishing I was back in the cold, with occasional snow while walking down the shopping streets of Garosu-gil, Hongdae and Myeongdong.
It’s 25 years into my life and it was my virgin visit to the popular travel destination, South Korea, to attend a K-Beauty conference – Made in Korea (MIK) 2017 – courtesy of MyFatPocket. It was my first time travelling with MFP’s Editor, Xinyi (@xinyicyndisoh) too. This short trip was a rather fruitful one as I got acquainted with many K-Beauty brands that are looking to expand to our tiny little red dot, ate many local dishes and bought even more makeup!
Before all the beauty reviews continue to populate Paradeoflove, I just want to pen down some of the interesting things I encountered in this metropolitan city, including beauty recommendations, food I’ve tried and some of the Instagram-worthy spots for your OOTDs in your next trip.
Calories in, calories out. Counting calories helps us achieve our weight goals, regardless of whether you want to lose or gain weight, or maybe even to maintain your current weight. Since beauty starts from within, it is important for us to keep track of what we eat and make an extra effort to workout to achieve those #bodygoals!
However, it can be difficult to keep track of what we eat throughout the day, and let alone count all those calories that we consume and burnt. So how about a weight management app that can check on our calorie intake? What’s more, it can also satisfy our foodfie needs, and allows us to share our OOTD of our latest sports gear?
Travelling makes up a huge part of my life now, ever since I started working in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Exhibitions) industry. If you’re a reader of Parade of Love, you’ll know that the face behind this beauty blog carries a DSLR out all the time.
However, when I’m travelling, I always rely on my iPhone and never brings my heavy duty cam. I mean, everyone wants to travel light (well, at least I do, especially for business) so it’s perfect if you are able to capture special moments or scenery with a lightweight gadget that delivers high quality photographs! Just for this post, none of the photos are edited to show you what I mean by a quality compact camera. Introducing… Casio EXILIM EX-ZR5000!
There are 4 colours to this digital camera made for the perfect selfies – Black, White, Pink and Green! Aren’t they pretty! And well, this selfie cam features an upgraded 19mm super wide-angle lens and Wide View Photo mode to deliver expansive and high-impact scenic photographs that are sure to impress!
Are you an online shopping junkie? If you are, what if I tell you that you can get paid for shopping?!
Well, you can now get cashback (yes, get your cash back) when you shop at ShopBack! ShopBack is an online shopping site that helps you get the best deals and discounts on 300+ stores. When you spend online through ShopBack, a portion of what you paid will go back to you as cashback. You know what this means? Extra, unlimited savings whenever you shop online! Isn’t that awesome?
Being an online shopping queen (as what my friends call me), I usually prefer shopping online just because I hate queuing at the cashier. With ShopBack, I can shop in the comfort of my own home and save some cash!
Are you a tea lover like me? If you are, you have to check out the awesome range of exotic teas from Tealy! I first encountered Tealy in my August 2014 Bellabox (review here) and probably even before that as well and I just fell in love with them! They offer a couple of exotic flavours such as Wonder Berry Chocolate Truffle, Mint Rooibos and Anjou Paradise Ceylon which I have tried and I think that they are so unique!
This Christmas, Tealy has come up with a Christmas Bundle Gift Set where you can combine a Tealy tea along with a Japanese tea from a selected range of choices! Just look at this cute bundle! If you have friends who are tea lovers, this is the perfect Christmas gift for them because I am pretty sure you will be pampering their tastebuds with these lovely teas!
