Serums are must-haves for me when it comes to my skincare regime. Oh, but then again, my skincare regime is pretty extensive so… Anyway, if you thought that you could skip serum and go straight to just applying moisturiser, you’re only half right.
Serums are products that can be chock-full of moisturising ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, ceramides etc. which may seem like replacements for moisturisers. However, serums do not contain “sealing” ingredients which moisturisers have, that are used to prevent moisture from leaving your skin. Most of the time, serums are rich in ingredients to target specific skin concerns such as dullness, acne, wrinkles, dryness to name a few. For me, I battle with skin dullness, uneven skin texture, acne and dryness so serums are my lifesavers.
Here are 5 of my favourite serums that I cannot live without:
Ever since I embarked on the LA VIDA Eyebrow Embroidery service, I am beyond thrilled how much time I can save in the morning getting ready for work! For me, prior to the eyebrow embroidery, I had to dedicate a whopping 10 minutes to fill in my brows. With my brows already looking full and natural, I can now move on to focus on the other aspects of my day-to-day makeup, such as my eyeshadow look (you guys know how much I love colours on my eyelids)!
About a month after my first eyebrow embroidery with LA VIDA, I had to head back to LA VIDA again for the touch-up service. A touch-up service is important because it will help reinforce the brow colour and shape so that your brows will last for a longer time.
Surprise boxes are always fun because you never know what you’re going to get until you unbox! This year, the Lazada Surprise Box is here again, but this time, with over 99 brands participating! Last year, I’ve reviewed the Mamonde Surprise Box which contained an entire skincare regime for only SGD29!
What is a Surprise Box?
It’s a box of products retailing at SGD29 or SGD49 (WHAT? ONLY?!) but with products worth around SGD100! I’m so happy that innisfree is one of the brands because I’ve been a fan of their skincare products, especially their masks!
Your brows are the most prominent features of your face apart from your eyes. We already know that a good pair of brows can frame the face but having the right brow shape also opens the eye area and helps to create a more youthful look.
Achieving that #browsonfleek look can be quite a daunting task, especially if you are rushing for time in the morning before school/work. What better way to save your time and effort to get those perfect brows on 24/7 than with semi-permanent makeup? Semi-permanent makeup procedures have taken over the beauty industry by storm recently, and it’s almost as if every girl I see has jumped on the brow-wagon! Well, to no surprise, I HAVE TOO with the LA VIDA™ Deluxe Creative Brows Embroidery Service. I can finally spend more time with my pillows and bed in the mornings!
Microblading, also known as eyebrow embroidery, is a new and popular technique that gives you semi-permanent, natural-looking brows. It’s a procedure that utilises a micro-blade (essentially a very small blade) to create tiny incisions with loaded coloured pigments that mimic eyebrow hairs. This means that once you have gone through microblading, you will also experience the convenience and beauty of having your #makeuponpoint. Looking perfectly polished before you head out can never be as easy as this, and well, you can finally boast and say, “I woke up like this!”
When it comes to beauty products, the South Koreans are usually the leaders, providing Asia and the rest of the world amazing innovations that change the way we see beauty. I’ve recently joined the platform, Charis Celeb, and discovered 3 beauty products which I’m going to talk about in detail.
As with beauty products, you never know if you’re going to like them or not until you’ve actually tried them out. Having tried the Damior Almond Blossom Sheet Masks, the Superface Zoom In Mesh Cushion and the 72 Seconds Rapunzel Day & Night Hair Treatment Creams, I cannot say that I love them all but read on to find out which are the ones I love and are worth trying!
