December 29th, 2011 My Beauty Diary Aloe Amino Acid Cleanser

Most of you girls are probably familiar with their brand of facial mask.  Take a look at the brand.. yes, i am talking about my beauty diary.  Guess not many of you have seen this yet as it is currently not available in Singapore.   This cleanser was from their Tea Collection and available for a limited period only.  A friend got it for me online thru sasa.com

this aloe cleanser contains amino acid

packing looks like a little tube of ice-cream... it has a nice fruity scent

a little spatula is included for easy scooping and hygiene.

product comes in a thick paste-like texture

A little information on amino acid:

- Collagen, known to keep the skin supple, consist of various amino acid

- amino acid has moisture holding capacity

- amino acid-based products are on mild on skin and body as it exert their cleansing power under pH conditions as close to the natural pH of the skin, therefore suitable for people with sensitive skin.

Other available variant: Strawberry Yogurt Amino Acid Cleanser

Comments: Great for gals who does not want a rich lather.   Skin feels refreshed after a wash without any dryness or tight feeling.  A good basic cleanser.

December 27th, 2011 St Clare’s MP3

I always like to try out new pore care products.  St Clare’s MP3 is something that my taiwanese girlfriend, Chloe who recommended me during my last visit to Taipei.  Apparently, this is a popular brand as it has been voted as a top products by a fashion guide website in Taiwan.

St Clare's MP3 comes in a 3-step pack

Step 1 : Deep Sebum Softener – to help soften the dirt and blackheads and T-zone for easy removal

Step 2 : Sebum Purifying Mask – for removal dirt and blackheads

Step 3: Pore treatment Essence – for closing up pores after pore cleansing

for those who are familiar with Taiwanese Artiste, Lai Ya Yan is the spokes person.

me having the mask on my nose and chin....

Comments : Just like the usual pore cleansing mask,  this mask drys up to form a tight paper-like layer on the surface of the skin.  Rips off quite a fair bit of the dirt and blackheads.  Like it that the product comes with a pre and post pore care treatment.  Very convenient.  The post treatment essence also helps to soothe the skin as the T-zone may feel a little dry after the mask.  A good try for gals who would like an alternative to the usual Japanese brands available here.

December 20th, 2011 from korea

My dear friend, sharon has made a recently trip to korea.  She told me she will do her “bit” for my blogging.  These are some of the interesting products from Korea that are not seen/found here yet.

These are the items she has gotten me...

this is a 2-step treatment hair mask.

Simple and easy to follow directions on usage

Step 1 : Treatment essence sachet (where ponytail is).

Step 2: Hair Cap to put on after treatment mask application.

Nice packaging and i think the creator is so thoughtful.  Good for gals like me who dislike washing the messy shower cap after hair treatment.

a teeth whitening tape pack. Apparently, this is hot seller in Japan. There is even a indication on box that "this product is not available in Japan. Only available in Korea."

Even though instructions are korean, the pictures make it easy to understand how to use

Hydra Intensive Skin Mist ... using Hydrophillic and Lipophilic ingredients for deep penetration

as for this? it is not a new innovation... sharon bought it cos she knows i like Hello Kitty. LOL

Thank you, Sharon for always having me on your mind when you travel.  Our old habits die hard!  We are always on the lookout whenever we see new innovations.  Thats what good BFFs are for.

December 19th, 2011 Fresh products

Have u heard of a brand call “Fresh” ?

The story behind “Fresh” started in 1991, where 2 founders of the brand (Lev Glazman n Alina Roytberg).  Their passion and vision made them the first company to make products using natural ingredients like sugar, milk, soy and rice in the modern day treatment.

Fresh carries a full line of lifestyle products from skincare, bodycare, makeup, haircare, frgrance and home products.  In asia, fresh products can be found in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Sugar – for healing

soy – benefits on skin

citron de vigne –  sweet smelling grapes… champagne and pinot nior.  For their fragrance and bodyline.

These are the few items that i have tried…

soy facial wash... one of the items that made them famous

this is one of their best seller... rose mask.

there are bits of rose petals in the mask... the smell ? nice, of course!

their range of shower gel... the scent is so refreshing.

their newly launched lip treatment.... with rose scent and with Spf 15

Like the idea and innovation of using ingredients that we are so familar with to make into things we can use.  Good quality products and very nice scent.  My favourite is the Rose mask.   It is so mild that it can be used everyday yet provides good hydration to my thirsty skin.  Their price point: similar to L’occitane.

Magosaburou restaurants in Japan are mainly found in Kyushu, Kumamoto area (also famous for their ramen).  Their concept : contemporary upscale dining, offering high quality yakiniku beef at reasonable price.  Marinades and dipping sauces are all home made to enhance the taste of their beef.

Beef farmers in Japan work with very few restaurants so as to ensure that they provide the best quality beef.  Magosaburou was able to serve good beef and reasonable price as the company is able to buy a whole cow.  By purchasing a whole cow, they are able to determine price based on the average price for all cuts of beef,  which lowers the prices of even the high quality cut.  According to the restaurant manager, shipment to Singapore  is twice a month.  The restaurant serves a special grade of beef called ” kuruhana wagyu”.  According to Restaurant Manager, beef served here is equivalent to Japanese beef  grade A5 (best grade).

This is the first time for the company to start restaurant out of japan.  They have newly opened 3 overseas market :  singapore, hong kong and shanghai.

Price ranges from $100 – $150 per pax.

address : Ion orchard #04-11A & #05-01.  Tel  66341411

lunch hour : 11.30-3.00pm

dinner  5.30-11.oopm

my comments :  No doubt the prices are higher than the usual Yakiniku Stores,  I will still come back.  The meat (both the pork and beef) are of  very high quality.  To me,  it was definitely worth every dollar paid as it was more a food experience.  Good Food, Good Service!

December 9th, 2011 Tuxseedo, brings real rewards!

Suited Technology Pte Ltd, a local technology company, develops an experience-sharing platform that rewards players with real products for check-ins.

A local social game App, TuxSeeDo,  was officially launched at Singapore Flyer from 2pm to 6pm on 12 November 2011.

128 Singaporeans participated in the game to visit 20 activity locations all around the Marina Bay on that Saturday afternoon despite the rain. Most of them took home gifts from discount coupons, movie vouchers, pens and notepads to Singapore Flyer Flight Tickets. One of them, Powerpiggy, went home a proud and very happy owner of a brand new iPad 2 3G.

The event was probably the largest App launch in physical distance and size spanning a 5 km trail with 20 activity locations around the Marina Bay Area, including Singapore Flyer, Helix Bridge, ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay City Gallery, Merlion Park, Esplanade, and Marina Square.

Players and visitors to the Singapore Flyer were treated to street magic performance by renowned local magician, Danny Koh.  Participants also had the opportunity to try their hands at flying a “real” Boeing 747 at Flight Experience during this event. There was also a Fun Photo Booth photo memento for all who wanted pictures taken with Danny, and model cum bloggers such as Holly Jean, Mable Soe and Danielle Luque.

The 4-hour style App launch was sponsored by the Singapore Flyer and organised in partnership with URA placement for Marina Bay Singapore and 13 different brand partners located  around the Marina Bay area to create a fun and rewarding way to experience the Marina Bay.

Look out for more exciting prizes that TuxSeeDo will be giving away in Dec.    New gift and vouchers has just been added.   Like their facebook page on http://facebook.tuxseedo.com  for a fun and rewarding way to experience Singapore.
