Shop till you drop in South Korea

It was still pretty cold last week in Korea. Seems too cold to be the end of winter and the beginning of Spring. If I were to be there in 1 or 2 weeks time, I would catch the cherry blossom season.

This pic is 2 years ago during the cherry blossom season in April Korea

Since I have been traveling around and been to many parts of South Korea during my 1 and a half year stay there so sight seeing is not what I have in mind this trip. This trip is a purely shop till I drop trip!

Yes we shop until our back, body and legs ached. I bought an almost empty suit case there and came back with 2 which I had to sit on to close it up properly. Estimated trophy list includes almost 30 pieces of clothes, over 10 pieces of jewelry, beauty products and cosmetics that I am unable and impossible to count.

Sumptuous !!!

It’s a pity that my favorite outlet mall shopping at Mario 3 and my favorite bargain shopping place at the Express Bus Terminal underground shopping centre is under renovation. Even my favorite restaurant at Itaewon is under renovation. :( So super unlucky. Disappointing!!! Maybe they are preparing for the Asia games that would be host in Korea next year. What annoys me that there is no information of the places undergoing remodeling and when I get there it seems too late to know. Even after remodeling, I am sure prices of items there would shoot up due to higher rents. Seems such a waste to ruin the bargain shopping.

Anyway I totally recommend shopping at express bus terminal underground shopping centre and Mario 3 outlet shopping mall if you go to Korea after May 2012. These two places is awesome for shopping but it isn’t as touristic as Dongdaemun and Namdaemun.

Express bus terminal underground shopping centre is like a 5000 to 10,000won heaven. While Mario 3 outlet shopping mall is like you can get the best quality product of Korea at 20-30% of the full usual price. Although you really need to search through hard for the good stuff.

Other than eating the long miss Authentic Korean food and shopping. I managed to meet up with some of my Korean friends who I dearly miss over in Korea. It has been almost 2 years since we met. Happy to see that they are all happy and well too.

6 days pass by so quickly though the last day we finally have enough of shopping. SIA is very kind as all our luggages are way over the limit. Suppose to be 20kg but we hit over 30kg.

Now that I am back, it’s time to focus back on my career and the shop set up. It’s only one month away now from the opening. *Sweats*

Products ready!

Renovation plan ready!

Services and Pricing ready!

Website almost ready!

Hiring not done!

Marketing not done!

………….

I think I’m 70% there now with the preparation. Truly, I under estimated the amount of work I need to put in setting up the Beauty and Nail shop. But for a dream that I always had to come true, I need to continue and persevere on. I know things won’t stop at just setting up the shop because more work comes after the shop opens. I’m excited and looking forward for my baby ”Beauty Recipe” to be born. Keep a look out for more stuff coming up :)
