E-House 155 Hotel Taipei Review
E-house has a few branches of hotels around Taipei. The one that I am reviewing here is a newly set up one by E-house group at Xi Men Ding (Address: Xining South Road, No. 155, 4th Floor Wanhua District, Taipei City ). As they have a few E-houses in Xi Men Ding itself. So do note the address of the one I stayed at and not mistake it for the wrong one.
Tiffany Yong with me this time having fun time together in Taipei. She commented this photo made her look long legs. This might be because I am not standing next to her and of course thanks to my superb photo taking skills Hahahahaa.. Suannnn to the max.*kidding*
The hotel E-house is up on the 4th floor. The lift up is on the 2F so you have got to climb this stairs. If you have heavy luggage you can call the hotel to arrange for someone to come downstairs to help you with your luggages. Level 2 is a BBQ buffet restaurants that seems to be packed with never ending people queuing up sitting along the chairs outside the restaurants.
There used to have an aesthetic clinic up on the 3rd floor but they had moved out. So the 3rd floor is also going to be renovated to have more rooms as part of the hotel E-house. The 4th floor which I stayed at has just been renovated and completed 2 months ago. So everything is just brand new, clean and all. This is sort of like a mix between a boutique hotel/hostel type feel. They do not serve breakfast but not to worry, at Ximending there is lots of food to offer.
Ximending is indeed a very old district, though it is a popular area for tourists to stay at and I totally recommending staying in that area because there is so much food, shopping, massage, bars and buzzing going on till late night…I really love Ximending!
You must be very careful though with hotel picking as some of the hotels in this area might be very old and errrrr… dirty. So every time before I booked for a place, I would want to check that the place is clean and of course if can be newer would be even better.
5th Floor and 6th Floor has a big massive hair salon where I go wash my hair every other day. It’s so convenient for me as I can just take the lift and go in my slippers from the hotel. They have great hair stylists too that never fail to curl my hair perfectly with curls that lasts me for 2 days. Cost about NT$200 which is about $8 dollars for a wash and dry. I did my hair extensions there too(see pretty purple colour below, not many could tell that they are not my real hair). The quality was really good and well worth it! (About NT$4000, S$170 for 20 strips).
There is a big map of Ximending at the lobby entrance. Good way to check where you are.
Caution!!! Below photo is not a hotel staff welcoming you to the hotel though the pose is really like a hotel babe luring you into the hotel. Hahahaa. Good Tiffany being very sporting posing for the photos since I can’t be in the photos myself due to my swollen face from my nose job surgery Day 2.
Now let’s check out the rooms. First, let me show you an amusing photo of our own room with our amusing pillow. We had the double bed deluxe room. We both felt very comfortable with our stay there and the staffs are really nice there too. Smiley, show concern, recommending me places to eat, helped me fix my broken shoe, scan and print documents….etc. Super!
Tiffany brought a rainbow pillow with her and I have my muscle man pillow to keep me company though the night. LoL. It was a gift from taiwanese friends, so sweet of them to let me feel hugged and loved throughout the lonely nights when I was in Taiwan.
The hotel put an air purifier into our room. That is really nice of them to help me have better air since my nose was constantly congested the whole time after my nose job surgery. Since it was a cold winter so it was so too cold to open up windows too. Having this air purifier is simply awesome and value added.
As you can see, most of their rooms layout is different. But all nice and clean. They have 3 different room sizes charged differently. Price of the hotel is about $100 – 130 SGD per night.
The hotel is about 3 minute walk to the Ximending MRT station. The hotel downstairs has lots of nice small food stalls and surrounded with nice restaurants too. Even pass midnight still possible to find food. You will definitely not starve in this area.
Price of the hotel is about $100 – 130 SGD per night. It’s really affordable I think.
Here is the hotel address and contact details…
