Emerald 1st Birthday – Part 2

Was really thankful that we managed to book the venue that we’ve decided just a month before Emerald’s Birthday party. Decided to book a function room instead, their venue are able to accommodate up to 50pax. But more than that la. Was actually quite big.

I’m able to stuff my guests, buffet, and also Emerald’s birthday Table inside. & there’s still sufficient place for some kids to roam around. This particular function room actually had sofa and television in there. & also pantry! They even have chairs provided inside. I was there with Emerald first, so I didn’t take a picture of the venue -.- Emerald does not allow me to let him down. So I’m carrying him all the while. YES, even when the guests are here.

Settle with Ecreative Standard A buffet. It’s for a minimum of 30 pax. Ordered for 50/pax. & I thought it’s more than enough. WHY………………. Because, not everyone RSVP with us. Ended up, food not enough. LOL. Ordered the same quantity of food during Emerald Full month celebration, more people was present at that time, but there were super lots of left over :X so I still can’t figure out what’s wrong this time. It’s either the quantity came was lesser than expected, or everyone was hungry on that day, or more people turn up than expected. Wasted again, I didn’t took photos of my buffet set up. But overall, food was normal I guess. Feedback was the food was nice. I DIDN’T GET TO EAT THE FOOOOOD. Cause I was too busy.

I actually had my camera set up for Emerald’s dessert table. Decided with Hokey Pokey, as I find their price are acceptable and reasonable. Requested for Super Hero theme.

Their reply were prompt, & they’re patience enough with me. You know, I’m a little troublesome. They have 2 different packages for their outstation dessert table (here).

Booked Hockey Pokey for a petite dessert table @ $680. (Including)

• 5 fixed desserts
• Single tier 6” fondant cake (top up require for more tiers :P)
• Table with all props
• Personalized Backdrop
• Take away box for left over
• Themed Digital Invitation card

At that time, I thought that aiya, not everyone will want to eat the desserts, cause still have buffet mah. TO MY HORROR, when I gave the permission to have the desserts, ITS ALL GONE IN LESS THAN 10 MINS.

Can say that I’m really very satisfied with the outcome. & their staffs are friendly too! They’re punctual as well. They prepared and organised everything very well.

I did top up for another tier for the cake, pretty isn’t it? All those decorations are edible. Cause I tried. They’re made from icing, safe for consuming. I’m alive! 2 tiers of cake means 2 kind of flavor! I’m weird, I chose what I like instead of what people like. Hahaha. Feedback was, my guests love their cake (Not the fondant, cause it’s icing, they thought it’s like freshcream. HAHAHA)

• Top layer : Vanilla with Oreo Buttercream
• Bottom layer: Chocolate with Chocolate Ganache

The cake was pretty hard to cut because of the thick fondant. So, would recommend you to bring your own metal knife 😛
