[SG EATS] Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant – 2nd Outlet at Duo Galleria

Following the success of Man Man Unagi Japanese Restaurant at 1 Keong Saik Road, Chef Teppei Yamashita is opening 2nd outlet at Duo Galleria. If you have not heard of this Singapore Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant is so famous that the average queue is at least an hour to two. So when E asked me where to have dinner for the weekend, I proposed Kappou. He was hesitated when I proposed but eventually decided to give it a try. This is because most of the Japanese restaurants are usually by males. Lucky me! I managed to make a reservation a day before the dinner at 6pm. Kappou Sushi Tapas Bar is a 12-seater restaurant located at the second level of Fortune Centre. Helmed by Chef Aeron, the restaurant offers omakase in 3 pricing – S$68.00+ , S$98.00+ & S$128.00+. Kuro Maguro is a concept by Misaki Megumi Suisan, a wholesaler of maguro and sashimi in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Kuro Maguro is also under the same group as Eat At Seven, Suntec City. Kuro-Obi by Ippudo is officially opened on 13 January 2017 at Marina Bay Sands. I was there for their ramen tasting with fellow foodie. The kiosk is right next to Ippudo’s latest outlet in Singapore. Kuro-Obi which refers to Black Belt in Japanese was first unveiled in New York. Singapore outlet marks Kuro-Obi’s first overseas foray outside of New York. Yeah! You are right S$18.00 nett omakase from Ryo Sushi located at Tanjong Pagar. The restaurant has recently opened at Orchid Hotel and stating 24 hours operation. I was told that they will be operating 24 hours after they got enough manpower. So, what attracts me here is their opening special omakase 10-course meal at S$18.00 nett. Barashi-Tei located at Middle Road is a few weeks old Japanese Restaurant in town. The founder and chef, Mr Wang Zhen Feng picked up his culinary skills from a 60 years old Japanese Master Chef who has more than 40 years of experience. The restaurant is just conveniently located next to Le Café Confectionary & Pastry, the famous soya tarts.
