Review: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

It’s back to my favorite kind of post! Here’s a makeup review!!!

These Balm Stains from Revlon have been out from the market for sometime but it’s only till recently that I have actually buy to try it out as I’m in a lip stain frenzy now.

And I’m in love after using it!!!

I’ve always prefer bright lips over nudes hence I got these two. The pink is 025 SweetHeart Valentine and the orange is 040 Rendezvous Rendez-vous.

Here’s a swatch on the hand. The colors are pretty sheer to start with but you can layer it on to intensify it.

Now the actual lips swatches!! As I’ve used my mini front cam to take the photos, I edited the lighting a little so as to make the swatch more true to color.
I really love how bright they are on my lips yet not too loud. I noticed that lip stains looks really nice on my lips and hence the current stain frenzy I’m in now. :P

Lasting power of these stains is a good 4-6 hours. It will eventually wear off and the color will be less intense. Yet, there will be still a light layer left over time as its a stain after all. It’s easy to bring around so reapplying is not a problem.

I feel that it is moisturizing and don’t dry out the lips. But I still do recommend to wear a balm before this. I also like how the fact that its in a crayon form, which makes application so much easier. You can draw the corners of the lips better as compared to normal lipsticks.

Definitely a 4.5/5 rating from me!!!

I want more colors!! Especially the red!!

Video: YSL Lip Rave

So I’ve this current beauty addiction. Am hooked onto YSL lipsticks after randomly walking into the ION boutique one day with Joey and just randomly got a nice red lipstick cause of the packaging.

Current YSL lippies count: 5 and more to come. :P

Enjoy watching my ramble in the video. I’ve done swatches in the video too. Forgot to take photo of it. Ops. :P

The things about the Skin

You know, the pretty looking lady you’re looking at above with just light makeup is not born like that. (Ok, I know. Thick skin alert. Lol) Those who have read my blog back from my Onsugar days should know that my skin used to be really really horrible.

Just to show you the difference. This was back in 2010, and this is still one of the better ones. I’ve some that shows red angry acne but I’ve decided I shall not put that up. But if you do look at some of my old posts, you might be able to see how bad it really is back then.

When I first started, I gone through the mistake of putting on too much makeup for the sake of covering the flaws. Slowly, I began realizing the fact that a clean canvas is the most important thing. So from makeup, I slowly devote myself to learn more about skincare, how the skin works and what sort of products is suitable for my skin.

My current skincare regime consists of products from various brands. One thing in common, is that they are all mild and suitable for sensitive skin. I’ve learnt that my skin could not take heavy cream products as they will break my skin out. So I’ve been staying to gel/lotion type of products. One personal skincare tip I have to share is to mask every other day! :)

Skin should look good when naked. I’ve always love how my skin is now after removing my makeup. Even if I do breakout once in awhile, I know that I can manage it now.

And of course, with a clean canvas you will definitely look better with makeup. You do not have to cover up so much that you will end of looking cakey or simply having too much on the face. Less is always more.

Let me show you an old photo of mine when my skin just cleared up. Do you notice any difference other then the hairstyle?

As some of you know, I did fillers for my cheeks and nose last July and the photo with bangs is after procedures. Features are definitely more define and smaller face.

With good skincare plus aesthetics to achieve that flawless skin and defined features, you will definitely look good. And of course, makeup will further enhance your overall look!

I’m definitely happy with my current looks. If you noticed, there ain’t much changes. Clearer face, more defined features and of course slimmer as I’ve lost a little weight recently. One can definitely be prettier. You just have to put in the effort!

And of course some help. Check out Myfatpocket and Aesthetics Hub for beauty tips and articles on aesthetics and embark on your journey to find the prettier you!

Happy Halloween Weekend!

It’s the Halloween season!

So I was bored at home one night and decided to just come out with a Halloween look. Inspired by the ‘ghosts at the Doll Studios at Sentosa Spooktacular.

It’s very simple, I did it in less then 10 minutes.

Here’s a faceoff style.

Enjoy your Halloween Weekend!

TGIF BellaBox!!

Received both an email and post invite from BellaBox to their TGIF event at Wangz Hotel! This is my third BellaBox event and they never fail to surprise me!

Lovely pink BellaBox Logo~ Products at the bar area for you to make your very own BellaBox~

Met these two lovely ladies, new fellow MFP bloggers!

I was there early so I went around taking photos and spent some time at the Bioderma booth. I’m really impressed by this no rinse makeup/ facial cleanser and I’m most probably going to invest in a big bottle once I finished the removers I’ve at home. XD

Bioderma had MUA Larry Yeo and this was the makeup he done on the model~ Beautiful makeup and this is done thickly to show the power of the Bioderma cleanser.

Take a clear look and you will notice half of her face has been cleanses and that was only with 2 swipes of the cotton soaked with Bioderma cleanser. The model has awesome skin by the way.

Elizabeth Arden booth when I’m allocated to during the activities. Did a little eye makeover using their latest eye color!

Aveda! I’ve always passed by their store located at Ngee Ann City but have never walked in it nor actually know much about it. Am so glad to be able to experience what Aveda is about during this event! That’s the range of hair products that they have featured at the event. Their products made used of aroma for the wellness of the user. I’m going to actually head down to their store to find out more next time!

Caudalie booth is the only booth that I did not had the time to visit sadly.

Petronille booth where we get the chance to mix over very own gommage/facial scrub. I did one with sea salt, olive oil, cocao and ginger oil. Going to try it out soon! XD

With dear Shiella~

Here’s Valerie~

And Vivian~ I find that they are looking more like twins these days! XD

Group photo taken at the photowall with the lovely ladies~

Goodies from the event! I’ll slowly review the products one by one so look out for it! XD

Thanks BellaBox for the invite and I’ve to say this is another great event that you’ve held! Can’t wait to see what will be in next month’s box!
