LookBook: Girlish Preppy

It’s had been so long since I last did a look book post. Have been lazy on dressing up and putting on makeup recently. :P I even gone bare faced now to work, unless I’ve an event after.

Anyways, was out to the S.E.A Aquarium with the Cousins* last Saturday so I took the chance to dress up.

I name this the Girlish Preppy look.

Outfit Breakdown:

Beret/Bracelets – Forever 21
Top: ZARA
Skirt: BKK
Knee Socks: New Look
Shoes/Bag: Scape Underground

Here’s the make of the day. I opted for something more colorful, more cheery for the eyes and kept the rest simple.

Here’s a closer look at the eye make, it’s a blend of light green, teal and lilac. I used a light shimmery cream shade to highlight the brow bone area. The light green on the inner eyelid, and the inner side of the lower lash line. The teal is on the outer corners.

If you’re wondering where’s the lilac, I used it on the lower lash line and in between the green and teal as a blending color. When using colors, always remember to blend the colors together so it won’t look patchy!

For the eye make, I’ve used 4 colors from my Sleek Mediterranean Palette L.E palette. I’ve also lined my eyes thinly with the Fantastic eyeliner in Secrete Khaki from Kick It Side for a little definition. Mascara wise, I’m using the DollyWink Volume Mascara. Primer wise, I’m using my HG NARS Eye Primer.

For blush, I used Sleek Santorini Blush applied lightly, lips wise I used Rimmel London Lipstick and ZA lip gloss in a baby pink shade.

Foundation wise I had on Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation, set with Urban Decay Razor Sharp HD powder. I’ve also used the YSL Touche Eclat for concealing and highlight.

Hope you like this look!

BATA’s Spring Summer Bloggers’ Style Contest

Hihi!!

Recently I was invited to Bata’s Spring Summer’13 event to check out their new collection. At the same time, I was invited to join their Blogger’s Style Contest by picking out a bag and a pair of shoes to show of my style for spring!

I personally feel that Spring Summer should be colorful in different bright hues and of course my favorite pastels! Pastels tones more for spring and bright hues for summer! And here’s what I picked up! A bright green clutch that is perfect for a day out or when hitting the pubs at night! I’ve also picked out a super comfy pair of leather flats in cream with mint tip to complement the whole outfit.

How long have it been since you last stepped into a Bata’s store? If you haven been to one in a long time, I urge you to check out the latest Spring Summer collection in the stores and I’m sure you will be surprised. Bata have stepped up their game and came up with a great collection. Do check them out on your next shopping trip and I’m pretty sure something will catch your eye!

Now I need you to do me a favor by liking the above photo at this link! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=477376138983711&set=a.477375752317083.1073741832.225091904212137&type=1&theater

The contest is ending this Friday, 22nd March and I need more likes! So if you have a little time to spare, it would be great! Thanks in advance!

Specially for the show in Singapore, we have Hello Kitty Nissin Noddles in Chilli Crab flavour, at $2.50 each. These are limited edition, have you gotten yours yet?

Are you an avid Pokemon fan like me? Though nothing like what we have seen from the animes, this figure of Pikachu modeled after a real rat is worth a look.

French Couture Week

Attended the French Couture Week at the beginning of the month with Don. Thanks Samsung SG for the tickets!

Our OOTDs~

Couture dress on display at the reception. Love the train of the dress~

Take a look at the runway~ Stage made like a palace with faux fire~ Visual impact is definitely there.

While waiting for the show to start, it’s the time to camwhore a little~ XD

I did not managed to take much shots off the runway. But here’s two~ I noted that galaxy prints is definitely still in trend.

Bold colors mixed with black, toning it down which giving the sophisticated touch.

Couture is a form of art, its a sense of fashion not many can appreciate. It is elegance, art and fashion in one.

FJF have always been blogging on beauty mainly, but my love for fashion is huge. Hindered only by my size, I hardly blog about my take on fashion. Now I’m going embrace myself fully and will include fashion posts here. I personally have a unique fashion preference which I love to share with you all~
