Cineleisure Next Online Sensation Revealed!!

So it have finally ended. The final event held just outside Cineleisure on the 21st has marked the end of the 1 and a half month long competition. Finally can rest liao. :P

It was definitely a fun experience and I believed each and everyone have gained something from this competition.

I definitely enjoyed myself at the finals, though Andy and me wasn’t really prepared for the 3 minutes performance on stage. LOL! But I did enjoyed the performance put on by other contestants! I’m stuck to the tune of Roly Poly now which Sphinxxx performed a dance to! I support fellow Andersonians. :P

Cineleisure’s Online Sensation Finals

CineSensational Trilogy: Thy SHUTTER SHOWCASE

Finally, it has come to the last of the Trilogy and Team SHUTTER will be sharing about Fashion this time round. To be precise, Male Fashion. Why Male Fashion you may asked? It’s because Andy have gotten many questions on where he got his clothes etc. So we decided that for the benefit of all the guys out there, Team SHUTTER will touch on Male Fashion for the last of this Trilogy! Girls benefits from this too! Now you know where to buy presents for your guy friends/boyfriends/brothers etc. And also where to chase them to while shopping for our own stuff. :P

Here’s the video! It took me 2 sleepless night to do this so do enjoy this 6 minutes video that we have put up for all of you!

 

In the video, we mentioned that Accessories are well loved by both guys and girls! It’s also the things that will spice up the entire outfit!

BEADSTREET is one of the places to go for accessories! From the current in trend Hello Kitty Spectacles you’ve seen me wearing for the past 2 posts to Iphone casings and plugs. Be it accessories for yourselves, your phone, they have it all! And what’s best, their prices are so low that you can just grab and go without thinking much on the prices. :P

Although we are actually doing male fashion, the attractive prices and nice designs attracted me and I had to get this ring! This chunky ring is simple yet brings an edgy feel! And yes, it’s only $1!

Here’s happy Andy with his shopping loots! I would say that Cineleisure is really a great place to go with a good mixture of stores that caters to the ladies and the men. Of course, you would have know what are his loots if you’ve watched the video above. If you have not watch it, scroll up and watch it now!

And yup, the CineSensational Trilogy had come to an end. Team SHUTTER have definitely enjoyed ourselves through the whole process!

CineSensational Trilogy: The Real Hunger Game Begins

Have you read part 1 of my CineSensational Trilogy? If not, check it out here!

So Team Shutter had spent a day exploring Cineleisure Orchard the other time before attending the Gala Premiere of The Hunger Games. Andy mentioned that he spotted quite a few F&B outlets and that we should head back to Cineleisure and check it out!

So this time round, Team Shutter presents to you The Real Hunger Game where we checkout out some of the F&B places in Cineleisure!

Standing at Lvl 2 of Cineleisure, I noticed that most of the F&B outlets are situated at one side of the mall. There’s A’venue Bistro on the 3rd level, Pastamania on the 2nd, Billy Bombers on the 1st etc. Not forgetting B1, where there’s the  food court and some other F&B outlets like Graffiti Cafe. Andy and me eaten at the food court the previous time as we are on a budget! :P But this time round we are on the lookout for good food with good ambiance.

Here’s a GIF image to show you the several F&B outlets you can find in Cineleisure! From restaurants to cafes and even snacks like Best Fries Forever, Frolick etc.

So I allowed Andy to decide where to eat and to my horror…

All he choose is FAST FOOD!! I mean fast food is fine but I’m on a diet and there’s so many other nice cafes and restaurants in Cineleisure! We can choose to have Korean at Seoul Garden Hotpot, Western at either A.venue Bistro or Pastamania! We are literally spoilt for choices and he had to choose fast food. (>.<)

My immediate reaction was of course to say NO! Giving him that look at the same time. :P So he gave up the fast food idea and we decided to take a look around before making our decision.

I spotted Shokudo and I knew that it have been there for the longest time since my secondary school days. However, I have never had the chance to try out their food. And being a lover for all things Japanese, I suggested to eat at Shokudo. Andy agreed as he also have not eaten at Shokudo before.

Soon, we were looking through the menu and there’s so many choices! From pastas to pizzas, burgers to sushi and many more! Prices are also affordable along the range of $3.80 to $20 over dollars. We spent a good 10 minutes before deciding what to eat!

Here’s Andy while waiting for the food! Actually the food did not take long, just that Andy was too hungry.  :P

And I was on my Iphone, instagramming, tweeting and FB-ing. The Iphone is just so convenient, allowing me to share information almost immediately on the go!

We ordered drinks first as we were really thirsty! Andy order the Lychee Float while I ordered the Milk Matcha Float. Both priced at a reasonable $5.80.

Being bloggers, the first thing we do is of course to take photos of our food and drinks! People around our table were like looking at us and wondering why ain’t we eating as we took a bit of time taking the perfect photos. :P

My Milk Matcha Float comes with Vanilla  Ice Cream topped with Matcha Powder. Andy’s Lychee Float comes with the fruit and lychee sorbet! I tried his drink and it was very refreshing and the lychee taste is very concentrated which is good. My Milk Matcha Float is a must order for all those who love Matcha! I actually felt that it taste more like a smoothie due to the mixture with milk and the ice cream.

Here’s the main course that Andy ordered! Teriyaki Chicken Cheese Burger! This is only $8.80 and it’s served with thick fries! There’s a sunny side up egg, succulent chicken and fresh greens like cucumber and lettuce! It actually comes with wasabi mayonnaise but Andy requested it without as he don’t take mayonnaise. The staff even offered to change to a different sauce which is really nice of them. Andy decided to take it without any sauces though, as the burger already have teriyaki sauce.

Andy also ordered a Plain Rosti which is only $5.80! You can choose to have it with Pork Sausage or Hamburg at $11.80 or just add an egg at additional $1. There’s also a Japanese Curry Rosti at $8.80. I had a bite and it was very nice and crisp. Not too dry with just the right amount of moisture.

We also ordered a Teriyaki Chicken Chesse Pizza at $10.80 to share! The pizza is those thin crust type and this pizza is very crispy! The crust do not have a thick flour taste like some and it tasted more like biscuits. You can hear the breaking sound when you bite into the pizza. I like how the pizza is sliced into 8 bite sized portions with a slice of chicken on each portion. The crust is still crispy even when it’s cold! I will be sure to go back again for the pizzas and I want to try out the Hotate Mentaiko Pizza at $12.80 next!

I ordered the Hotate Mentaiko Spaghetti at $16.80. I was actually deciding between this or the Chicken Chop with Wasabi Mayonnaise. But I could not resist Mentaiko and I wanted something that’s filling also.

The spaghetti comes with generous portions of succulent scallops hidden inside and the spaghetti is literally coated with Mentaiko which is actually spicy cod roe. I did not bother to add any cheese powder or chili powder like I usually do when I’m eating pasta. Reason being is that the dish is really flavorful with the spicy cod roe and wafu sauce! I highly recommend this dish!

How can a meal goes without dessert right? We ordered the Mango Kakigori at $6.80. Its a really huge portion so it’s best for sharing! The ice is actually mango flavored shaved ice and not just drizzled with mango sauce. It comes with fresh mango cubes and konnyaku jelly! They have other dessert like waffles and thick toast served with ice cream too!

I was happily eating my pizza and Andy caught me on camera. (>.<) I am actually glad that we chose to dined at Shokudo as we now found another place serving good and affordable thin crust pizzas! Plus Cineleisure Orchard is so conveniently located in town!

Located at level 2, you can’t possibly missed it! It’s right at the top of the escalator! You can even get a view of orchard road if you happen to get window seats! :P

Oh and their operate till quite late! You can have Pizzas before your midnight movie!!

CineSensational Trilogy: The Hunger Games Awaits!

It’s been awhile since something exciting happens to Team SHUTTER. Little do they know that they are going to go through an adventure. And it’s all going to happen in this place named CINELEISURE ORCHARD.

Cineleisure Orchard offers a variety mix of lifestyle retail shopping, casual dinning and leisure activities like karaoke and e-gaming. Not forgetting having 12 movie halls by Cathay Cineplexes. It’s the place where youths and teens hang out and where all the hype is!

Let Team SHUTTER bring you through a mini adventure at Cineleisure Orchard! Why SHUTTER you might ask? Cause both Andy and me love gathering information of interesting happenings around us and share it with everyone out there through Social Media!

As usual, I was shopping around the flea market looking for the cheapest deal and Andy was enjoying some quality Me-time at Macdonalds. Our phone rang and we received the same message almost at the same moment! Looks like it time for another mission! XD

Ohhh, looks like it’s going to be a real interesting mission!

I rushed to meet Andy at the entrance of Cineleisure Orchard. At the moment of meeting up, Andy immediately received the first clue on his mobile. I was anxious to know what’s the clue as I’m very confident of clue solving and love such missions! I can’t wait to know what’s exciting in Cineleisure!

So the first clue is:

” Grab your weapons and health packs. You gonna need them! Complete the “No mercy” and you shall get the next clue! ”

Oh and apparently we only have 30 minutes to complete the “No mercy”. I was thinking in my mind, what could that be?

And so we entered the Cineleisure in which there are 9 stories not including the basement. Where could the first clue possibly mean? Is there a place where we need weapons and health packs?

Andy and I decided to consult the directory as that’s where all the stores are listed! I mean there are like 54 outlets in Cineleisure, we can’t possibly check one by one right? Of course checking the directory will be the fastest way. :P

So we look through the list of outlets eliminating the retail outlets and whats not. Suddenly Andy exclaimed: ” Ah I get it! The clue must be referring to Left 4 Dead!

And so we headed straight up to level 9 by lift where E2Max is! E2Max is like gamer’s heaven! There Lan games, Xbox 360 and many more. They even have Prize Stage where you can try your skills at the UFO machines! I would say it’s a place with games for all!

And yes, the clue is referring to the first map of Left 4 Dead! We quickly get down to completing the map, not forgetting to mention the few times I accidentally shoot Andy instead of the zombies. Regardless of that, we still managed to completed the map in 30 minutes! The 2nd clue popped up instead of the usual game credits!

I took one look at the 2nd clue and said to Andy that I know where the next place is! We then quickly proceed to level 4, where I believed it’s where we should go next.

So I lead the way to Pocketz located at level 4 of Cineleisure! The clue has a picture of pool balls! This must be the place!

Andy took a look inside at the various group of people enjoying themselves while playing pool. “We need gold coin here meh? Also, where to find Shutter related things here?

Ops! Then almost immediately after Andy’s comments,  another place came into my mind. “Oh! I know where then!! No mistakes this time I promise!” I said.

We then go all the way down to B1 where’s there’s a whole stretch of Capsules Machine! I’m a capsules Machine lover and Cineleisure has got the widest range of capsules machine I’ve see in Singapore! Andy nodded in agreement when he saw the capsules machine and he quickly found the Shutter related machine. It’s a machine that has mini Pentax Cameras models that you can use as a keychain or put on the hotshoe of your camera. $3 for 1 capsule!

I was super excited about this!  I can always spend at least half an hour at the capsules machine looking at the ranges before deciding which one to get. I went to change notes into coins immediately and went to get a capsule out of that particular machine. Hopefully we get the clue at the first turn!

I took the capsule out of the machine and open it up slowly…

And yes! The clue is inside!

Andy and I looked at the clue and was a little confused. Is there a place here that we could “Party like a Rockstar, Shoot like a Sniper, Throw like Jeremy Lin. And be an all rounder”?

We also have to score 120 points and above before we could enter The Hunger games?

Andy pondered for a moment and said he knew where to go.

He lead me to TimeZone at level 4. I get it when I saw the place. With Guitar Hero, Time Crisis, Basketball games in the arcade, it totally fits in with the clue. Plus there’s a dancing games, driving games and many more. Indeed a place where you can be an all rounder!

We bought a Powercard at the counter and went ahead to the games one by one!

I must say I’m not very good at the guitar, should have played the shooting game instead since I’m a marksman. :P Andy and me managed to score more then 120 points at the basketball game through cooperation! We then received instructions for us to collect our tickets to The Hunger Games!

We both had fun exploring Cineleisure in the day and accomplished our mission. It’s time for us to enjoy ourselves at the Gala Premiere of The Hunger games!

Team SHUTTER did not forget to snap a photo with the movie poster before watching the movie! XD I must say The Hunger Games is a good movie! Go catch it now! It’s already showing in the cinemas! Of course, no harm spending a day in Cineleisure first before catching the games!

Of course, this is not the end of the adventure of Team SHUTTER… There will be more to come!
