MakeUp Collection: Dolly Wink

Today I will be talking about my Dolly Wink collection. Most of you would have known that Dolly Wink is famous for its eyelashes and is endorsed and produced by Tsubasa Masuwaka. I owned quite a number of its eyelashes but I still can’t bear to use them yet. :P

Dolly Wink cosmetics comes in really pretty packaging! It’s all sweet and girly and hence I can’t bear to use them. Of course, no worries about pretty packaging yet substandard products. Dolly Wink eyelashes have gotten many good reviews. The only downside would be the high price tag. Dolly Wink eyelashes are price at $24.90 for 2 pairs of lashes making it around $12 for a pair. But of course, you pay for what you get, quality is definitely there for these lashes.

I also owned the liquid and pencil liners in their limited edition packaging and also the volume mascara. All which I’ve not opened and used yet. But these items have gotten good reviews too, especially for the mascara. I’ve fellow beauty bloggers buying extras of the mascaras.

The only Dolly Wink products that I’ve actually used are the eyeshadow palettes and the cream eyeshadows. Retailing at $32.90 each, the palettes are quite worth it for it’s pigmentation. There’re actually 4 palettes available but I got 3 only as I find that the palette is #2 lacks in pigmentation unlike the other 3. My favorite palette would be the neutral brown palette in #1. Texture of the eyeshaows are smooth and buttery. The cream eyeshadows are smooth but a little greasy. What I like about them is the glitter which is just right and not gritty.

For the eyeshadows, they come with this little booklet that has a step by step how to use the particular product as recommended by Tsubasa herself.

Recently Dolly Wink have also came out with a new series of eyelashes, the Otona series and also new eyebrow products from eyebrow mascara, pencils to powders. I’m actually eyeing at the eyebrow mascara. The Otona series are actually a range of lashes that are more natural compared to the original series. Personally I like more dramatic lashes, if I want natural lashes I will opt for mascara instead. :P

Dolly Wink are available locally at most Watsons stores. Prices ranges from $16.90 to $32.90. If you want to get them at a cheaper price and don’t mind a longer waiting time. You can purchase them at Sasa.com or JPmon.com.

MakeUp Collection: SLEEK MakeUP

So I’m going to be featuring my makeup collection in terms of brands and categories. I will be also doing an overview of the brand itself for those that I’ve categorized by brands.

And first up will be featuring my mini Sleek MakeUP collection which consists of 3 eyeshadow palettes and 2 powder blushes.

Featured Products:

  • Sunset Palette (Check out the swatches here)
  • Curacao Palette L.E (Palette on the left in the last photo)
  • Aruba Blush (Orange)
  • Mediterranean Palette L.E (Palette on the right in the last photo)
  • Santorini Blush (Hot Pink)

Swatches of the 2 palettes can be easily found on the net, let me know if you want me to do the swatches. :P

Sleek MakeUP have quite a wide variety of eyeshadow palettes and I would say most of them are really pigmented. At least for the 3 that I’ve owned. The palettes are compact and easy to bring around. I don’t recommend you to bring along these palettes for travel as they are quite fragile. (Unless you hand carry them.)

Each palette comes with 10 colors in different textures. Most of the palettes comes with a matte black shade. Meaning if you have 5 palettes, maybe you will the same matte black in all of them. I’ve 3 of the palettes and 2 of them came with the matte black shade. This can be a good or bad thing. What do we do with so many of the same black color? We can always use one wet and the other dry. Black shadow can always doubled up as an eyeliner too.

Sleek Blushes are awesome. Pigmented and great color payoff. Just one swipe of the brush and it’s enough. Don’t be scared of by the vibrancy of the blushes, they are one of the more natural blushes that I’ve owned. If you’re fair like me, you just have to brush on the blush lightly. If you’re of a darker skin tone, you just have to use a little bit more product. I rate a 5 star for the pigmentation of Sleek blushes. Also, the color lasted for a good 5 – 6 hours on oily skin like mine.

The price for Sleek MakeUP is very affordable too! The palettes are priced at $10USD and blushes at $7.80USD. So it’s roughly around $15/16 for the palettes and $10/11 for the blushes depending on where you spree them from and the exchange rate.

Alright on to the photos!
