For Spring/Summer 2017, Japanese LifeWear brand Uniqlo partners French Icon Ines de la Fressange to bring to us the seventh collection inspired by the South of France.
The French port city of Marseille lends its inspiration for the collection with comfortable and airy pieces of striped t-shirts, cotton shirts, polka dot tunics and button down skirts that reflects the classic and timeless aesthetics of Ines de la Fressange.
I had the opportunity to work with Elle Singapore to create an interactive video for this collection and I am beyond stoked for this opportunity!
Below are some of the behind the scenes shot of one of the two outfits that I wore for the video.
It was my first time filming for a video and it was really quite a nerve wrecking experience. I never had much problems being in front of the camera when it comes to photo shoots, being able to pose stationary and keeping to a position wasn’t that much of a challenge for me.
But being in front of a video camera was probably a million times more stressful than posing in front of the camera. Every action was clearly caught on camera, from a slight twitch of the facial muscles to an unsteady gaze into the camera. There was no where safe to hide those insecurities and uncertainties. I was beyond thankful for the encouraging and patience crew who gave suggestions and directions that helped to calm me down and focus on the action that I would need for the video.
This video is the first shoppable video that was created by Elle Singapore and when you click on the circular pulses that appear through the video, it will take you to the link of the item directly! Isn’t that really awesome?
All the pieces in this collection are extremely wearable and comfortable for our climate. And best of all they exude the French styles of stripes, checks and polka dots which is timeless and oh so classic. The first part of this collection is only available at their flagship store at Orchard Central or Online Store and the second part of the collection is available from 24 Feb 2017 exclusively at Orchard Central or in their Online Store.
After the filming, I picked up these pieces from the Uniqlo x Ines de La Fressange collection. I can’t wait to share with you how I will be styling these pieces from work to weekend in my post next week!
