[Videos] Recap On My Beauty Makeover At Halley Medical Aesthetics

It has been 3 months since my makeover at Halley Medical Aesthetics and I couldn’t be more happier with this new look. Just to refresh your memory, I had gotten fillers on my nose, chin and tear troughs. I also had botox injected to slim down my squarish jaws. And to add volume to my face, I had gotten sculptra on both cheeks. You may read more about my journey with Halley Medical Aesthetics here.

This was how I looked like before I had the makeover. Not too bad I guess, but hey, who won’t want to improve their appearance and look even more attractive. For a long time, I had been self-conscious of my wide jaw and chin. So I was elated to try out chin fillers in addition to jaw botox. Continue reading

Updates on My 3D Projection Makeover With Halley Medical Aesthetics

If you have been following my blog, you would have read about my botox & fillers procedures at Halley Medical Aesthetics, followed by Sculptra to improve the appearance of my sunken cheeks.

Unlike traditional fillers, Sculptra is not a quick fix remedy but it is known for subtle results over time, which lasts much longer too. It works by stimulating the growth of collagen for one to attain a natural and youthful appearance. Sculptra is not limited to correcting wrinkles and sagging skin but is also a popular treatment for facial volume loss. So far, I have undergone two sessions of Sculptra at Halley Medical Aesthetics.

The photo of the left was taken around 3 days after my botox, fillers and 1st Sculptra treatment. While the photo on the right was taken 3 days after I had my 2nd Sculptra treatment at Halley Medical Aesthetics. It may not be that obvious but I can already see a slight difference in the volume of my cheeks in the photos. Do note that this is not the final results, as mentioned before, Sculptra results are gradual so I will be updating again in a few months time.

For those who are curious, this was what went on during my Sculptra treatment. Continue reading

Got Myself A Beauty Makeover With Botox & Fillers

I was born with a squarish jaw, thus making my face appear big and masculine. And for the longest time, I had been toying with the idea of getting fillers for a higher nose bridge and a sharper chin. I wondered how would I look like with sharper features and a V-shaped face that every Korean babe seems to possess. So I decided to get a beauty makeover at Halley Medical Aesthetics. With the Lunar new year just around the corner, it couldn’t be a better time for a transformation to usher in the new year.

This photo was taken on the first day of the Lunar Chinese New Year, which is about a week after I had my botox and fillers done.

I had placed it with an old photo for comparison’s sake and even sent it to my girlfriend to show her difference. However, I didn’t tell her which was the BEFORE & AFTER photo. But she said she preferred the one on the right and so did I. I’m loving my new look now which is much more feminine and well-defined. Continue reading

More Women Going For ‘Fake Boobs’ Look

No thanks to Hollywood, the unnatural becomes the natural when too many stars are spotting the same ‘fake boobs’ look, prompting more women to ask their surgeons for the same look.

So just what actually is the difference between the natural look and the fake look when it comes to breast augmentation? To some, the fake boobs look seems like a job gone bad, but that is not necessarily the case. In fact, more and more women are now seeking for the fake boobs look because it is so common and popular in Hollywood.

Plastic Surgery Can Be Life Changing

Sadly despite getting more common nowadays, there is still social stigma when it comes to plastic surgery. Those who undergo cosmetic surgery mainly due to vanity reasons are often condemned by even their own family and friends. However, if a surgical makeover could improve one’s quality of life then why should we not respect the individual’s choice?

Take for example, Soyoung Moon who unfortunately was born with a an old lady’s face despite being only 29 years old. For years, she suffered shame and ridicule, had no social life nor friends.

Her whole world turned around when she was offered an all-expenses paid for makeover surgery by the reality show “Let Me In”. Just look at the drastic difference in the before and after photo shown above. Continue reading

When Plastic Surgery Becomes An Obsession

With the media bombarding us with endless images of the supposed standards of beauty, it is no surprise that some women (and men) have turned to plastic surgery to achieve their ideals of the perfect look. And along the way, some get so obsessed with plastic surgery, that they end up looking far from good-looking. When I watch K-drama, I am in awe of how some of the Kpop stars still manage to look pretty natural despite the amount of work. While others are less fortunate and end up looking really PLASTIC.

How can such a taut-looking face be considered beautiful?

Everyone love pan asians and I’m one of those who secretly wishes that she looks pan-asian too. After all, it’s a very sought-after exotic look. Some take this obsession a step further by going for plastic surgery. Sadly, they all turn out looking the same; creepy and fake-looking. I recently saw a plastic-looking model who was pure chinese but underwent surgery to look eurasian. Her face was so frozen that when she spoke, there were these little unnatural lines that kept twitching at the corners of her upper lip. It’s sad because she used to look pretty before her obsession with surgery begun.  Continue reading

This Is How Would I Look If I Went For Jaw-Slimming Surgery…

I was surfing around Aestheticshub.com when I happened to chance upon the Aesthetics Hub’s Animation Library. If you ever had a question on any aesthetic treatments, this is the place you should go looking for your answers. It has a whole load of information, all in one platform so you don’t need to google all over the Internet. There’s a dedicated section for each of the following: Body, Breast, Face and Skin Treatments.

I’m concerned about aging and have always been curious about Laser Skin Rejuvenation. You can find this under the Face section.

Would You Go For A Liposuction?

I was reading this article off My Fat Pocket’s portal about Plastic Surgery still regarded as a taboo in 2014 with it’s main topic surrounding an invasive procedure called Liposuction.

So what is Liposuction? According to Wikipedia, ” Liposuction, also known as lipoplasty (“fat modeling”), liposculpture suction lipectomy (“suction-assisted fat removal”) or simply lipo, is a cosmetic surgery operation that removes fat from many different sites on the human body. Areas affected can range from the abdomen, thighs and buttocks, to the neck, backs of the arms and elsewhere.

If the definition and above illustration isn’t enough to make you squeamish. Then this might just make you think twice about considering it. Continue reading
