[REVIEW] Bebeco Skin Care Range from Korea

A Beauty Affair is proud to share with her readers about another HOT Korean brand, Bebeco, that is currently available in Singapore. Did you know what does the brand name Bebeco stands for?
Well, I certainly didn’t and I thought that this was rather cute.

Bebeco = “BEtter BEauty COsmetic”

Bebeco carries a wide variety of skin care products that are highly popular in Korea and now, even in Singapore. Their range of skincare also incorporates natural ingredients such as Orange Vitamins and Plant Hormone in their skin care range. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?

Thanks to Bebeco, I was given a number of products to try out. I told them about my skin concerns; blackheads, uneven skin tone and dryness on the cheeks. And I was introduced to this skincare regime which is like a DIY Facial Routine. Something one can try at home and save money at the same time instead of splurging hundreds at facial salons.

The DIY Facial Routine will allow one to achieve an effect that is similar to what one gets at the facial salon.
It consists of the following products:

Step 1: Real Perfect Cleansing Gel
Step 2: Plant Vita Foam Cleanser
Step 3: Perfect Peeling Gel
Step 4: Strawberry Yogurt Mask Pack

Physiogel Blogger Event

Huimin & I attended the Physiogel blogger event at Goodwood Park Hotel on Tuesday. Thanks to Ju Ann & Physiogel for the invitation!
We both agreed that it was one of the better events which we had attended because it was not only educational but also interactive due to some Q&A games we played.

UPDATES: Skin MD Shielding Lotion

It has been 2 months since I’ve received my Skin MD Shielding Lotion!
And I’m loving it.
I’ve been using it on my legs especially after shaving because that leaves my skin feeling even more drier than ever.
I think that after using the Skin MD Shielding Lotion, my leg’s skin condition is indeed improving and less scaly.

What I like best about the Skin MD Shielding Lotion is the texture of the lotion.
It’s light and does not suffocate the skin.
It is also absorbed fast and leaves no goey sticky feeling like dog drool after application.

Best of all, it contains aloe vera and vitamin E, just to mention a few.
And we all know the healing & moisturising properties of these wonderful ingredients, don’t we?
Vitamin E would then help with any possible scarrings/nicks/cuts left behind after my shaving.

For a more precise list of ingredients, do refer to this page off their web:

Anyway, do not get mistaken. It is a lotion for both the face & body.
A very versatile lotion that’ll eliminate your need for many bottles/tubs of skincare.
And also make space in your dresser too.
However, I just happen to love indulging my legs with the luxury of the lotion.

From the website it says:
Depending on how dry your skin is the first few days may require reapplications after only a few hours. Usually, after a few days of continuous use, only one or two daily applications are necessary to see the improvement.

Interestingly, I have seen them selling in SG already!
If you are nearby Bugis, just head down to BHG’s cosmetic department.
I saw the stand beside Topshop but did not check out the price yet.

This is a lotion those unfortunately cursed with dry skin must try!

Skin MD Shielding Lotion

I’ve received my Skin MD Shielding Lotion!
And I think it would come in handy in the office where it is air-conditioned
and hence, would cause our skin to lose moisture and get dehydrated easily.

I will update again once I’ve tried it over a period of time :)
Do stay tuned!

Meanwhile, do check out their website over HERE
They do ship to Singapore!♥

ZA Blemish Shoot Dewy Gel Review

Where to buy? Watsons, John Little, Robinsons, Guardian
How much? $16.25

Ingredient list:

I didn’t think much of this moisturizer when I first bought it. Well, other then that it was a cheap buy. Furthermore, I’ve tried the sample and was unimpressed.
However, the full sized item managed to change my mind interestingly.

It is gel-based and goes on smoothly upon application.
It does not feel sticky nor clogging.
Then, it slowly turns into water (1st ingredient on the list!) before it is immediately absorbed by the skin.
I am truly amazed!!!

I think this is one great basic moisturizer. Especially for the day.
However, since I’ve too many moisturizers, I am using this for both day and night.
And it does provide sufficient hydration for night time usage too.

Vichy Normaderm Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care Review

Where to buy? Watsons
How much? $49

I got the sample in the GLOW Watsons goodie bag & now I finally have
the chance to try this out.
Since previously, I did not have the fate in meeting the sickening Vichy SA
who works from 10AM-6.30PM only (According to Guardian staff) to grab hold of
a sample.

Anyway, it’s said to “Transforms the skin within 4 weeks. Resorbs blemishes. Tightens pores. Evens out the complexion.”

Sounds promising, doesn’t it?

Ingredients : Zincadone A (keratolytic glycolic acid + anti-bacterial glycadone + Dermostim). Astringent witch hazel. Vichy Thermal Spa Water.

That isn’t the full list, it also contains alcohol denat; 3rd on the ingredient list.

Alcohol aside, I think this is a pretty good basic moisturiser.
Perhaps the reason why my skin is zit-free so far is also probably due to it?

Firstly, it smells great (to me at least) and reminds me of my Bio-essence Tanaka White Renewal Day Cream. The consistency is just right, it is not as thick or heavy as other creams nor is it watery (Think Dermalogica’s Active Moist) but it’s light and a tad bit gel-like. Probably something similar to ZA‘s Dewy Effect Creamy Gel.

Since it’s light, hence, it is easily absorbed by the skin and leaves your face
feeling sufficiently hydrated. There is no stickiness experienced after application.
It has superb oil control because I could see that my T-zone stayed oil-free almost the whole day.

I’ve been using it for 3 days only. Shall monitor further and update this entry soon. I do hope to see my skintone even out with the help of it.

UPDATES as of 12 May 2009

A great basic moisturizer worth trying. It has not caused any breakouts on me and
has been keeping my usually oily T-zone pretty oil-free.

ZA Dewy Effect Range

Ok, so they have the ZA Dewy Effect Emulsion & the Creamy Gel.
So what is the difference?
I’d always thought that it was moisturisers for different skin types.
Dry – Normal takes Creamy Gel because it’s thicker in consistency whereas
oily skin types go for the emulsion.

HOWEVER, after reading this insert which was found together with the
ZA Dewy Effect Sample Set.
I just realised that the emulsion is for DAY use because it’s lighter and
the creamy gel is for NIGHT use since it’s “heavier” stuff. All these makes
perfect sense now.

Ok, so don’t shoot me for not knowing this earlier but I just wanted to share
this with the rest who probably are equally as clueless as I was.

ZA moisturisers’ ingredients list

Just to share 2 of ZA’s moisturisers’ ingredients list.

I’m still a novice at checking up the ingredient list.
Tag or email me if you think these moisturisers contain something that
might harm my skin!! Haha, thanks yah! (Ok, other than alcohol)
