New Hairstyle for Christmas

I’m back from Salon De Choix with a new hair style and just in time for Christmas!

My hair was getting SHAPELESS and MESSY. I just simply could not stand the sight of it especially after seeing how it appeared in photos.

That’s me at an event with shapeless-looking hair. Defintely not party ready for the festive season. So initially I thought of just rebonding my hair straight but that might have been too boring since I used to rebond it all the time. In the end, I settled for a perm at the ends while the top part gets rebonded for a tidier look.

After the chemical solution for rebonding is applied, it is then given some time to settle in. After a wash, out comes the straightening iron!

This is the portion where my curls would begin from.

The rollers are added on for the curling effect.

The hair is then left for awhile to let the chemical solution settle in.

It was lunch time so I had a cup noodle. Salon De Choix has cup noodles for customers that end up staying in the salon for a long duration due to their hair treatments or services.

Once the solution has settled in then it’s time for a wash, I must say I really enjoy the lovely massage Elein gave me. And did I mention that their seats have a built-in massager!?! This is great for those who go for long duration hair treatments such as rebonding where you have to sit for a few hours.

Next, my hair gets pampered with a protein mask!

Elein blow dries my hair with this unique add-on feature to the hair dryer. For you ladies who have curls and have no time in the morning to blow your hair with a brush. Then this would come in very handy! Just dump your hair in like as shown in the photo and let this nifty little apparatus work its magic. This can also be bought at the salon. It gives you lovely curls in just minutes! Amazing, right?

So I get my fringe trimmed into bangs. Why? Because I had to change my parting as it was starting to bald around that area. But my fringe was too stubborn and no matter how I comb my hair, it just won’t budge from the old parting. So I decided to just go for bangs then no need to worry about the parting and balding.

This is how my hair looked like once I was done. If you find this too curly or OTT, no worries. These are really very natural curls. I could just wash my hair and blow dry without curling it for a more natural and relaxed look.

If I tousle the bottom, it breaks out into these more natural-looking, loose curls which are really pretty and kind of Korean inspired. I really, really love my new hair do now. It’s like a new me for a new 2013!

Meanwhile, do go to Salon De Choix and LIKE their FACEBOOK Page. If you are planning to change your hairstyle, then do check out Salon De Choix, it’s located at 3 Killiney Road #01-06 Winsland House 1. My stylist is Miss Elein.

Remember, you may mention my name CHARLOTTE for 15% off their hair services 😉
