Got my nails done at JC Beauty recently and here they are!
The roses and all the other nail art designs were hand-painted by Joyce herself. I had no specific design I had in mind so I let Joyce just do up something for me. She does mostly classy designs as evident in the ones she did for me.
Had my first IPL experience over at Japan IPL after I bought a coupon off Fave, where they had 100 shots for just S$65 (I paid S$50 after using a promo code). So Japan IPL has several branches islandwide and the great thing about them is that you do not need to book an appointment. Just head down to your desired branch and get your IPL done.
The areas which I decided to try out IPL on were my upper lips and underarms. I had gone down with the intention of just utilising the shots for my upper lips because I was sick of having a shadow above my lips. But I was told that I had to utilise a minimum of 20 shots for the first round as they were giving these 20 shots for free to new customers. Upper lips requires just 10 shots so I decided to just get my underarms done too.
The last time I had a facial was probably last year, so I decided to give myself a little treat. Situated at the quaint and historical neighbourhood of 2 Everton Park, is a specialty boutique beauty salon called Beaute by Kew. Newly opened by Lily Kew, an expert in holistic living, beauty, skincare, health, diet and nutrition. Beaute Kew offers customized solutions to suit the individual skin type.
I was invited to have some tea first before filling up my particulars in their system. Next, I was ushered into the treatment room where May, my therapist, assessed my skin condition before recommending a suitable treatment.
Recently, I attended a blogger event with June by L’oreal where they made a bold claim; that their latest L’oreal White Perfect Laser whitening skincare range had proven clinical results which resemble the aftermath of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL).
Don’t mind my sickly, pasty white face as I was down was a bad flu and nearly forgotten all about this event till I got the reminder from L’oreal.
Check out the stars of the night:
Left to right; White Perfect Laser Anti-Spot Brightening Essence (S$39.90) and the All-Round Whitening Cream SPF19/PA+++ (S$32.90)
We all know that IPL as a popular though pricey method to whiten the skin. Others go for vitamin C drips which are also not very friendly on the pocket, costing a few hundreds a go. With the L’oreal White Perfect Laser, fairer and brighter skin seems achievable in a more affordable manner.
