[Contest] Dream Big With Lactacyd & Win S$15,000!

Since young, I have always wanted to own a shop, a space where I could meet new people and make friends, source for cute apparels, put them on display and share my passion with the world. That was the inspiration behind my online store, Hellobaby Sg. I had stopped work a year ago to take care of my only son and it is through this small online business that I have managed to continue maintaining my financial independence. Even though we are not a brick and mortar shop yet, I do hope to realize my dreams some day when my son is older.

Do you happen to have a dream of starting your own business too? Is your current job unfulfilling and you wish you could follow your dreams of being an entrepreneur? Perhaps you have a great business idea but am unsure how to proceed. Or like me, you are a mother keen to start a business and be able to spend more time at home with your children.

Well, you are in luck because Lactacyd wants to help you achieve your dream. Veni, Vidi, Vici is Latin for “I came, I saw, I conquer”.  By participating in the Veni, Vidi, Vici contest, one lucky winner will get the chance to win a business start-up package worth S$15,000. The top 10 finalists will also be treated with the opportunity to meet up and exchange pointers with women entrepreneurs from top international companies.

March is Independent Women Month!

Nowadays, women no longer just stay at home and tend to the house. Instead, they are out there, carving a career for themselves, making a name out there in the corporate jungle while at the same time juggling the roles of a wife and mother.

I’m proud to be a woman and inspired by successful, independent women like Oprah Winfrey. We do need to depend on men for survival. Women of today earn their own keep while still maintaining the household.

Mothers are the most admirable. A stay at home mother works 24 hours, 7 days a week. She gets no annual leaves or bonuses. She is the maid, teacher, dish-washer, cleaner, accountant, cook, driver, dog-walker all rolled in one. Amazing, isn’t it? :)

Join like-minded ladies who are beautiful & independent 😉 over at MyFatPocket.com (MFP), one of Singapore’s leading women’s portals and your guide to everything female. It is your daily read and guide to beauty, fashion, entertainment, relationships, lifestyle, community and bloggers.

The reason they are called MyFatPocket is so that each time you visit the website, you will leave with an abundance of information and insight, your pocket of knowledge will be fattened. Plus, MFP loves rewarding the members with weekly giveaways, sample points redemptions and much more.

Do also visit My Fat Pocket in March for more Gender Agenda in lieu of Independent Women.

We celebrate Women

This March, we celebrate Women. 8th March was the official International Women’s day. According to the website, internationalwomensday.com:

International Women’s Day has been observed since in the early 1900’s, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies.

Annually on 8 March, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women’s craft markets, theatric performances, fashion parades and more.

This month, My Fat Pocket also celebrates women with a galore of articles featuring them. Do check it out:
