Updates on my review at Nu Reflections Medical Aesthetic & Dissolving My Chin Fillers!

So a month ago, I went back to NuReflections clinic for my review with Dr Ivan Tan. It had been 6 weeks since my jaw botox and I felt that my face has become so much slimmer. But Dr Tan told me that it would go down some more. So it has been 2 months since I had the procedure done and this is how my face looks like now. I’m really happy with the results!

Jaw Botox aka Masseter Reduction at Nu Reflections with Dr Ivan Tan

“Did you do something? Your face looks more 3D.”, asked a colleague. I was surprised that she had noticed the subtle difference. But no, I did not do anything drastic. Just a simple procedure and guess what it is?

[Videos] Recap On My Beauty Makeover At Halley Medical Aesthetics

It has been 3 months since my makeover at Halley Medical Aesthetics and I couldn’t be more happier with this new look. Just to refresh your memory, I had gotten fillers on my nose, chin and tear troughs. I also had botox injected to slim down my squarish jaws. And to add volume to my face, I had gotten sculptra on both cheeks. You may read more about my journey with Halley Medical Aesthetics here.

This was how I looked like before I had the makeover. Not too bad I guess, but hey, who won’t want to improve their appearance and look even more attractive. For a long time, I had been self-conscious of my wide jaw and chin. So I was elated to try out chin fillers in addition to jaw botox. Continue reading

Updates on My 3D Projection Makeover With Halley Medical Aesthetics

If you have been following my blog, you would have read about my botox & fillers procedures at Halley Medical Aesthetics, followed by Sculptra to improve the appearance of my sunken cheeks.

Unlike traditional fillers, Sculptra is not a quick fix remedy but it is known for subtle results over time, which lasts much longer too. It works by stimulating the growth of collagen for one to attain a natural and youthful appearance. Sculptra is not limited to correcting wrinkles and sagging skin but is also a popular treatment for facial volume loss. So far, I have undergone two sessions of Sculptra at Halley Medical Aesthetics.

The photo of the left was taken around 3 days after my botox, fillers and 1st Sculptra treatment. While the photo on the right was taken 3 days after I had my 2nd Sculptra treatment at Halley Medical Aesthetics. It may not be that obvious but I can already see a slight difference in the volume of my cheeks in the photos. Do note that this is not the final results, as mentioned before, Sculptra results are gradual so I will be updating again in a few months time.

For those who are curious, this was what went on during my Sculptra treatment. Continue reading

At My Appointment At Halley Medical Aesthetics For Sculptra. What Is Sculptra?

As part of my 3D projection makeover, Dr Terence Tan of Halley Medical Aesthetics recommended Sculptra, one of the latest innovative skin treatment, to pump up my cheeks for a fuller look. The areas below my eyes look sunken, thus, making me appear older and tired than I really am. So what is Sculptra?

Got Myself A Beauty Makeover With Botox & Fillers

I was born with a squarish jaw, thus making my face appear big and masculine. And for the longest time, I had been toying with the idea of getting fillers for a higher nose bridge and a sharper chin. I wondered how would I look like with sharper features and a V-shaped face that every Korean babe seems to possess. So I decided to get a beauty makeover at Halley Medical Aesthetics. With the Lunar new year just around the corner, it couldn’t be a better time for a transformation to usher in the new year.

This photo was taken on the first day of the Lunar Chinese New Year, which is about a week after I had my botox and fillers done.

I had placed it with an old photo for comparison’s sake and even sent it to my girlfriend to show her difference. However, I didn’t tell her which was the BEFORE & AFTER photo. But she said she preferred the one on the right and so did I. I’m loving my new look now which is much more feminine and well-defined. Continue reading

A Slimmer Face Is Possible…

botoxface

Apart from getting my warts and moles removed at Nu.Reflections Medical Aesthetic, I also had something else done to my face. Guess which procedure did I undergo just by looking at the photo below?

jawbotoxslimming

If you had guessed “botox” then, yes, you are correct! I had square jaw reduction with botox done around 1.5 months ago. It is evident from the photo that I have a squarish, masculine jaw which is unappealing for a female. And because of that, I am always hiding behind my hair and shunning the camera since my face tends to look huge in photos! Continue reading

Helping My Guardian Angel Turn Back the Hands of Time

Mother’s day is just around the corner and I had spent days mulling over the perfect present for my mom. She had been of great help in looking after my cheeky 6 months old baby ever since he was born.

Usually, a typical Mother’s day celebration for us would involve the family having a meal out at some nice restaurant. But that idea was growing stale. So this year, I had wanted to do things differently.

One night, I was watching my mother put my baby to sleep. And then it dawned upon me how the many months of babysitting & late nights had worn her out, causing her to look haggard and tired. My mother is someone who still enjoyed dressing up and looking good. So I was really touched by her sacrifices for her grandson and how it all was started to show on her face.

So I’ve been reading up articles on AestheticsHub.com on non-invasive treatments such as Botulinum Toxin A. And that was when I thought of getting her a unique and special gift to regain her youthfulness; a Botulinum Toxin A session at Prive Clinic.

Aesthetics… Would you change the way you look?

Anyone recalls the movie ‘200 pound beauty’ where this overweight girl went through a major plastic surgery operation to emerge as a beautiful, hot lady? The lead is played by Korea actress Kim Ah-jung who is super pretty and even though she has undergone the knife to enhance her looks, it still appears so natural! Thumbs up for her surgeon.

So now it’s the golden question, what would you change about yourself physically if you could?

In the past, I was crazy over Ayumi Hamasaki and would die for her eyes but after seeing a certain famous blogger D*wn Y*ng’s blotched job where you can see the reds of the fleshy part inside her eyes…. Eeeew. No way!

I think I would love to slim down my jaw line as it’s very defined and square. I have tried botox which was sponsored by Neuglow. You can read about it HERE. Unfortunately, this procedure is not permanent. In fact, for a much slimmer jaw line, it’s recommended that you return every 6 months for another session. I just don’t have that kind of money… boohoo :(

The next thing I would like to try is probably to sharpen my nose. Maybe try fillers since they are non-invasive and temporary; lasting only 6-8 months. I’m still fine with my nose and find my jaw more of an issue. So this is probably a procedure I would like to try out for fun.

So how about you? Anyway, My Fat Pocket have started an Ask Doc discussion in our community. In this discussion, you can ask Dr Karen Soh (Prive clinic) about anything  related to aesthetics.

Dr Karen Soh is a friendly and nice lady whom I met recently for my Vitamin C & Glutathione Drip at Privé Clinic. You may read about my experience HERE
