Ok, let me share more about my refills experience. It has been about 3-4 weeks since my first extensions, I had them in around 12mm initially. Now, I got to try out 14mm and some highlights in green which are so subtle, you can’t really catch it on camera.

My lashes before they were removed, as you can see that it has gotten quite messy without proper care too.

Now, check out my natural lashes after removal:

As you can see, it’s still intact which shows that Novalash eyelash extensions do not ruin your natural lashes. Because the extensions are placed on your real lashes with a special gentle lash glue that does not harm the natural lashes at all. You need not worry about losing lashes and getting bald spots.

Now check out my 14mm new extensions which gives my lashes more volume.

I’m totally digging the 14mm ones because they are much more like the falsies I’m used to wearing. The effect is more obvious especially since now I usually skip eyeliner for work.

I was also given the Novalash Nighttime Conditioner/Cleansing Pads to care for my lash extensions. As it’s really difficult to find a makeup remover that does not contain glycol.

3-in-1 conditioner, cleanser & makeup remover pads cleanLASH by NOVALASH®  were designed to not only remove dirt, pollutants and any make-up your clients wear, but will also prolong the life and radiance of their extensions by conditioning and restoring moisture. These cotton pads have been saturated with pomegranate seed extract to detangle and promote healthy lashes and help to reduce flipping and tangling of the lashes, while simultaneously nourishing the eye area.

It’s a highly raved makeup remover on TotalBeauty.com getting 10.0 top marks! I’ve tried it and it easily removes even the most stubborn liquid liners I’m using.

Dolly Wink Fake Lashes by Tsubasa Masuwaka *** KAWAII ***

Since we’re still on the topic of false lashes, I must really blog about this.
You might have already seen or heard of this brand.
Apparently, some lashes were brought in to Singapore and sold at Watsons but they’re all currently SOLD OUT!!!

Well, it certainly is no surprise as these LASHES are HOT,HOT,HOT!!!

Dolly Wink is a cosmetic line by 25 year old top gyaru model Tsubasa Masuwaka.
She is absolutely adorable and pretty.

I wish I could carry off her big eyed dolly look too.

Maybe if I get my hands on those lashes, I could possibly make a feeble attempt to emulate her makeup look.
Anyway, what the hell is gyaru? It took me abit of googling before I found out that the direct translation of “gyaru” is “girl”. And that the gyaru fashion is really HOT not only in Japan but also in other parts of the world like even Spain & Russia!?
It’s more of a cutsey aka Kawaii dressing where the girls usually sport brown, blonde or some other light-colored hair and shimmering dolly makeup. Some are tanned to give that bronzed sun-kissed look. They like to wear girly, feminine cutsey outfits and finish off the look with a pair of ridiculously high platform shoes.

Example of Gyaru girls and their fashion

Anyway, just to share more pictures of the lashes design from Dolly Wink!
Stop drooling!! 😛

They cost ¥1,260 in Japan, I wonder how much would they retail over here.
That’s like freaking SGD20+ per pair of lashes!!!
Check out their website HERE

Dolly Wink Products can be bought from SASA Hong Kong Online!

From SASA, False Eyelashes aka Falsies Review

If you know me personally, you’ll know that I just simply can’t live without my falsies.

Why wear falsies? Because they open up the eyes and we all know that the EYES are windows to the soul. Don’t you wanna have dazzling eyes??
With falsies and the right eye makeup, you can smoother anyone with your glaze.

This is a bargain gem! I never knew SASA stocked such cheap affordable fake lashes.

These cost S$4.90 for 6 pairs, yes, you didn’t read it wrong. That’s like S$0.82/pair!! Really worth it but personally, I still prefer my Model21 lashes because they are softer and more naturally.

The lashes and lash bone of this Korean (I see Korean words on the packaging) falsies are stiffer but still decent enough and can be compared to The Face Shop’s lashes too; which are kind of stiff too in my opinion.

Here’s how the above lashes in model no. 703 look like when worn.

Do note that I had layered 2 pairs; one on top of the other to create a more volume look.

What brand of falsies do you go for?

Eyelash Extensions – Why I won’t recommend them

I did eyelash extensions in Dec last year at Anthony’s Hair Boutique.
It was not bad… the lady who did for me, I think she was called Candy was very friendly and nice.

She said my eyes were round and big so she recommended a mascara short lash type for me.
Honestly, I was wanting to do the medium length one cus I liked my lashes more dramatic. But since it was my first time , I went along with her recommendation.
My gf did a medium length one and I liked it so much cus it was longer but she was not used to it and she preferred mine. If only we could swap!

Thus, initially, I was a tad bit disappointed since mine was not so obvious.
But after I went home, I went to curl mine up. Heh and now I love it.

BEFORE:

AFTER WITH LINER & MASCARA (on lower lid):
(I know, not supposed to put eyeliner but I’m just stubborn)

AFTER WITHOUT EYE MAKEUP:

My regrets days later……

CONS
1) Cannot rub your eyes
2) Must be careful at all times even when you’re sleeping! (WTF!??!)
3) Must use facial sponge when removing makeup especially around the eye area

It was such a pain and hassle when I thought that getting extensions
would means less trouble since I won’t need to put on falsies every morning.
I won’t recommend this especially if you have a tendency to subconsciously rub your eyes when you wake up.

4) I took them out myself 2-3 weeks later with a pair of tweezers.
I did it cus I was so pissed with the extensions.
But it’s advisable that you go back to the salon and have them removed professionally.
One thing about extensions just like NAIL extensions are that they’re so bloody f-ing expensive!
You got to pay money even if you just wanna have them removed!!!
5) You got to deal with bald patches on your eyelids after removal as some lashes get pulled out together with the fake ones.

PROS
1) No need to waste time putting on false eyelashes everyday.
2) Look “naturally” good without makeup on.

Rated: .5 minus the rest for the long-term suffering after that.

Verdict: No more lash extensions for me. I’ll stick to the good ol’ falsies,
at least I can remove them anytime I deem fit to without much hassle.
