[Review] Aqua Facetherapy Facial at Nu.Reflections Face & Body Clinic

After going for monthly facials at Nu Reflections Face & Body Clinic and making a conscientious effort in looking after my skin, I’m starting to see visible improvement. The Eternal Youth Facials have been most pampering and moisturising for the skin, and helpful in tackling aging concerns. I still get mistaken for being early twenties or mid twenties and I believe I should credit that to part maintenance and part genetics.

This month, I got to try a new facial treatment, called the Aqua Facetherapy facial.

Updates on my review at Nu Reflections Medical Aesthetic & Dissolving My Chin Fillers!

So a month ago, I went back to NuReflections clinic for my review with Dr Ivan Tan. It had been 6 weeks since my jaw botox and I felt that my face has become so much slimmer. But Dr Tan told me that it would go down some more. So it has been 2 months since I had the procedure done and this is how my face looks like now. I’m really happy with the results!

Jaw Botox aka Masseter Reduction at Nu Reflections with Dr Ivan Tan

“Did you do something? Your face looks more 3D.”, asked a colleague. I was surprised that she had noticed the subtle difference. But no, I did not do anything drastic. Just a simple procedure and guess what it is?

A Slimmer Face Is Possible…

Apart from getting my warts and moles removed at Nu.Reflections Medical Aesthetic, I also had something else done to my face. Guess which procedure did I undergo just by looking at the photo below?

jawbotoxslimming

If you had guessed “botox” then, yes, you are correct! I had square jaw reduction with botox done around 1.5 months ago. It is evident from the photo that I have a squarish, masculine jaw which is unappealing for a female. And because of that, I am always hiding behind my hair and shunning the camera since my face tends to look huge in photos! Continue reading

Finally Got Rid Of My Ugly Mole & Warts!

I’ve always been bothered about these skin colored bumps on my face and going for a facial would always be a nightmare because of all the different kinds of diagnosis the helpful therapists would offer. I had been told that I had milia seeds, skin tags and even enlarged sweat glands (syringomas). However, I decided that the best person to consult on what’s invading my face would be an aesthetic doctor, someone with a medical background whom I could entrust my face with.

I made an appointment to see Dr Ivan Tan at Nu.Reflections clinic. Why Dr Tan? Well, he has 14 years of experience and specialized qualifications in dermatology. Dr Tan’s friendly demeanor made me at ease even though I was initially nervous. I could ask all the questions I wanted to without feeling silly. After examining my face, Dr Tan told me that these were warts.

A wart is a skin growth caused by some types of the virus called the human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV infects the top layer of skin, usually entering the body in an area of broken skin. The virus causes the top layer of skin to grow rapidly, forming a wart. Now, other than looking unsightly, the scary thing about these warts was that they could easily spread by direct contact with a human papillomavirus. You can infect yourself again by touching the wart and then touching another part of your body.

Now after learning about that, I was very certain that I had to have them removed. Dr Tan recommended removal of the warts through Radio Cautery. This is a procedure where radiowaves are used to vaporise the lesions on the skin. It can be used to remove warts, skin tag, moles and other skin growth. Continue reading
