PODI – New Breakfast & Grill Restaurant at Raffles City

So I was lucky enough to catch a break away from the baby on Wed night, went for a restaurant preview at Raffles City with my sis.

Presenting a new breakfast & grills restaurant named PODI – which stands for Pure. Offbeat. Delicious. Infusions. is brought to you by the founders of Cedele, P.L.T Sandwiches and Toss & Turn food concepts. Best of all, it launches TODAY so if you are wondering where you should head down for dinner tonight. You can go check it out, it’s located at B1-45, just right beside the fountain called VITALITY.

The shoestring fries in truffle oil was yummilicious. I also love the lemon vinaigrette dressing in the Prawn & Crab Spinach Salad. You should try these 2 dishes out when you go there.

We got to taste a little bit of everything, so the dishes shown here are of sample size. Check out the Eggs & Waffles selection:

image-6An interesting dish which caught my attention was the Duck Berry Waffle which is made up of waffles topped with duck confit served with egg, blueberry compote and maple syrup vinaigrette. You have to get abit of everything on this plate and then add the maple syrup vinaigrette sauce to fully enjoy it. I thought it was quite a novelty dish but apparently in the US, fried chicken served on waffles is quite common according to my sister.

image-11This is the chicken pot from the Grill selection. The chicken was perfectly marinated, it was flavorful and not overly oily. The seasoned tomatoes tasted so heavenly, I wish I could have a potful of them.

These are the other grills we tried and personally, the Argentina Sirloin Steak stood out from this 3 choices. I was rather full by the time this dish came by but that did not stop me from finishing up my portion. It was that good. Every mouthful was an explosion of flavors. Unfortunately, it was done Medium, which was too tough for my liking. Probably medium rare would have done it more justice.

image-7To complete our enjoyable dining experience, we had these desserts to sample. Sadly I was way too full by then so I only had a mouthful of the ice cream. It was delicious and I wished I haven’t wasted food. Haha…

The food is priced affordably at S$15-18 for breakfast meals and S$14-24 for the grills.
