[Review] Simple Spotless Skincare

I was invited to try out the new Simple Spotless Skin range. Launched earlier this month, the Simple Spotless Skin range is specially formulated for acne-prone skin with emphasis on proper cleansing.

The secret to visibly clearer skin is simply keeping it clean. An often neglected skincare step, cleansing is the foundation of healthy skin and is especially important for acne-prone skin.  With proper cleansing, excess oil and impurities are removed from the skin, improving the skin’s health and radiance. A refreshingly clean skin is also better prepped to absorb the ingredients of serums, moisturisers and treatment care products!

The Simple Spotless Skin Quick Fix Cleansing Wipes come in a handy pack of 25 wipes. Great for travels, after a long day out or night partying away. It contains Zinc PCA & Chamomile to absorb excess oils and gently soothe. Being part of the Spotless range, it combats acne with a natural antibacterial called Phytosphingosine, ok, that was a mouthful, but anyway, it helps to fight spots and blemishes. It’s gentle for sensitive skin because it contains NO perfume or color. So you can be assured that there are no harsh chemicals in this rescue pack.

It’s tempting to just head to bed after a long night out, especially if you have been clubbing. But going to bed with your makeup on is something you will regret the morning after. I like using makeup wipes for travels especially because they are non-liquid, very handy and convenient.

I tested this on a full face makeup which comprised of BB cream, concealer, loose powder, eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, blusher and lash glue. It took more than a few swipes but at least, it did get 99% of the makeup off. I say 99% because my lash glue is incredibly strong and quite a chore to remove. But overall, I’m still pretty satisfied with it’s performance.

The Spotless Skin Triple Action Face Wash is a great perk-me-up product that left me feeling refreshed. It doesn’t dry out your skin and it’s microbeads help exfoliate as I cleanse.

Cleansing pads are a personal favorite when I used to shop for my beauty stuff off Drugstore.com. These Simple Spotless Skin Deep Clean Cleansing Pads like the other products in the range contain the same blend of acne combating ingredients.

What’s unique about these pads are its textured surface which helps to deep clean the T zone as it exfoliates. And best of all, there’s no need to rinse off. You can perform this step of the regime in your bed, even when you are that tired. I quite enjoyed the little scrub with this cleansing pad.

Last but not least, there is the Simple Spotless Skin Rapid Action Spot Zapper. So rapid, it claims to show results within 4 hours without irritating the skin with harsh chemicals. I have yet to put this to the test because thankfully, I’m still very blessed to not have any pimples now.

The Simple Spotless skincare range is available at selected Watsons, Guardian and major departmental stores.

Follow Up Post to Etude House AC Clinic Line

I had blogged about the Etude House AC Clinic Line recently and on how I couldn’t try it out yet as I didn’t have any zits? Well, the moment you say such things, these irritating, annoying zits just pop out of nowhere. Read my previous entry HERE!

photo 3Well, hello nasty zits, I really hate you.

So I’m trying out the AC Clinic Line’s Intense Pink Powder Spot. It’s a spot care solution that contains 4 non-comedogenic ingredients such as natural Salicylic Acid, Hinoki Cypress, Chaga mushroom and Saururus Chinensis.

It dries up pretty fast after application and I went to bed looking like a polka dot pig.

The zits didn’t magically disappear the following morning and I admit that I was slightly disappointed. But it took around 2 days so to be honest, that’s still not too bad for an anti-pimple solution.

Then the other day I had a pop-up zit that was pretty reddish and angry-looking. It managed to calm it down the next day but it was still 3D and not flatted. However, the swelling did go down on the 2nd day. So overall, this is not bad for a pimple zapper 😉
