Coach buys over Kate Spade for US$2.4 Billion

When news of Kate Spade starting to close its Saturday stores in Singapore hit, I thought that the designer label was in troubled waters. Never mind that they said it was a move to concentrate more on their Kate Spade New York brand. But I guess things are looking better for them after Coach, another designer handbag maker, said it would buy Kate Spade & Co for a whooping $2.4 billion (S$3.4 billion).

[Review] Mozzieguard 100% Natural Lemon Eucalyptus Oil Repellent Patch

So Kaiser Pharmaceutical has a new product which is really handy for the mozzie season now. It has been raining almost everyday and I am pretty sure those aedes mosquitoes would be showing up pretty soon. These are the Mozzieguard 100% Natural Lemon Eucalyptus Oil Repellent Patches which comes in packs of 10 individually packed patches in a resealable zip packet.

Mozzieguard 100% Natural Lemon Eucalyptus Oil Repellent Patch

Unlike most repellent patches currently available in the market which uses citronella or other oils, the Mozzieguard uses 100% natural lemon eucalyptus oil which is according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention an effective mosquito repellent on par with DEET repellents. It is also DEET-free, making it safe for infants and young children.

Well, I think we brought it out to its ultimate test field. And that would be the Night Safari after a rainy afternoon! So how did it fare? Read on to find out.

Yishun Safra’s Pirate Themed Pool For Kids

Safra Yishun unveiled a pirate themed kids’ pool recently. It has added a nice touch to the previously bare swimming pool. The play area however is rather small but I doubt that the kids would mind at all.

Mocha’s Loot From KohePets.com.sg

March is the time when we replenish Mocha’s kibbles, to cut cost we would usually go for the biggest bag of kibbles and have the store separately pack them into vacuum-sealed smaller bags. So this time, we ordered our stuff from Kohepets and if you would like to view the unboxing video, please check it out below.

Kohepets is one of the top leading online pet stores in Singapore and they carry a wide range of products for dogs, cats and other small pets. I did a quick check with a few other online pet stores which I have shopped at before and found their pricing to be pretty competitive too. Continue reading

We Went To Art-Zoo!

My son is a big fan of bouncy castles so when I spotted this event online, I wasted no time in buying the tickets way before the launch. Thanks to Passion card, we managed to get 20% off which was cheaper than the group discount too. So the countdown begun and finally it was our excursion day! We were blessed with great weather today and had so much fun under the sun.

#NoMakeUp #NoFilter Like It Is A Bad Thing To Wear Makeup?

Today I am going to write about a topic that has been bugging me for quite sometime; women acting like makeup or even filtering your pictures is such a bad thing. Like it makes you any less beautiful or adequate just because you choose not to go around bare-faced. Now, if you are perfectly fine being au naturale like Alicia Keys, then by all means go ahead. Alicia Keys did also state that her wanting to be makeup-free does not mean that she is anti-makeup. She is not saying that wearing makeup is bad. She is not implying that women who choose to do so, do that to make up for their low self-esteem or whatever other issues you think they have. Alicia Keys just feels better being makeup free and it is her choice. Why should we be persecuting others who choose not to go makeup free?

Charlotte Ashlene A Beauty Affair Blog

Today happens to be International Women’s Day, where we celebrate women, their strength, unity and sisterhood. You would expect women to be more supportive of one another but yet ironically, women also tend to be harsh critics of each other. I won’t be surprised if any female on my Facebook list had actually rolled their eyes at my photos such as the one above and bitched about how much makeup I had on or how heavily filtered the picture is, not that I care.

Tsum Tsum Parade In Singapore

I enjoy watching Tsum Tsum videos and the boy surprisingly knows what Tsum Tsums are. So I decided to bring him to the Disney Tsum Tsum roving parade today. This is one of the perks of being a stay home mother, the ability to make impromptu decisions to go out and join a parade during office hours.

So the roving parade begins at Bugis Square at 4.30pm and ends at Plaza Singapura at 5.45pm. The parade kicks off one of the largest Tsum Tsum carnival in various CapitaLand malls islandwide. So Tsum Tsum fans can expect lots of Tsum Tsum related events and activities in the malls, including merchandise for sale as well. For more information, please check out the official website.
