Lush at Wisma Atria had a revamp and I was invited to the reopening. This is the store that smells really great when you walk past it but I’ve not really stepped into it before. In fact, I’m a newbie to Lush products. And guess what? They have gained a fan. Lush products are made from fresh, organic* fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics. They are made with little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients, and tell you when they were made. And most importantly, Lush is against animal testing.
I have been stuffing myself so much over the festive period that I had developed a little extra pooch around my midsection. So no prizes for guessing, but one of my new year resolutions was to lose that flabby tummy. And this is where Marie France Bodyline comes into the picture, well known for their professional consultation services and individually tailored slimming programmes with the latest technologies, plus the fact that they are the reason behind Fann Wong’s fabulous figure now. I knew that I was in good hands.
We spent our Sunday at the grand opening of Active Hive, a lifestyle and fitness company. And we were introduced to their latest high-tech workout, the Minus Calories but I shall digress for now because we spotted Mediacorp actress Kate Pang & her husband Andie Chen with their adorable son, Aden!! So of course, we couldn’t resist requesting for a photo opportunity with them.
We were also very lucky to win the 3rd and 2nd prize of the lucky draw. Even though we were really eyeing the slow juicer because it would have made juice detoxing a breeze. Continue reading →
This blog post is really late but what the heck, better late than never. It’s the only event I have attended so far this 2015 though because my stay-at-home life doesn’t really let me get out often. And I must say, it was the one of the best media events I’ve ever attended.
This is the only photo I had managed to take before my battery died on me. Yes, silly me forgot to charge them the night before. Anyway, the whole event was like a beauty fair. There were several booths featuring brands such as Dr Benjamin Yim, Environ, Bene Premium, Jane Iredale and many more. Continue reading →
Their slogan “Toxic Free can be uninteresting. We made it Pleasurable.”, sure is intriguing. And that perked my interest in finding out more about this brand, Aroma Bar Sg.
It turns out that Aroma Bar Sg is a home grown brand founded by Singaporean, Sarah Chia, after she couldn’t find suitable skincare to improve her daughter’s pigmentation disorder. All Aroma Bar skin care are 100% natural so they contain no preservatives, no fillers, with natural scented fragrances, making their products suitable for all skin types including those with sensitive and easily-irritated skin.
If you find healthy and toxic-free living a bore then that’s where Aroma Bar Sg comes in to jazz it up with a fusion of the best natural oils, like shea butter, coconut oils infused with aromatic therapeutic essential oils into their hair care, face and body range.
We all know that Hyaluronic Acid is a must sought after ingredient in skincare because of its moisture-sealing properties, it has the ability to hold up to more than 1000 times its weight in water, it not only helps to pump up and moisturize the skin but is also known to soothe and heal it too. But did you know that Hyaluronic Acid is also a polysaccharide naturally found in our human body, with most of it in our skin tissue. And as we age, its ability to reproduce lessens and hence, all the aging signs which we fear most would start to show. Think wrinkles, saggy skin and yes, the horror list goes on.
So I was really excited when I got my hands on the Hand Chemistry’s Hyaluronic Concentrate from glamogirl.com According to the Hand Chemistry website, their formula contains a complex of five active technologies from marine and plant sources, which repairs dry skin and protects it from the elements, so hands and body are visibly transformed to a softer and more comfortable state thanks to the high moisturising and regenerating effects of a Pseudoalteromonas Algae Complex.
The neck is one of the most neglected areas of the skin when it comes to skincare pampering and yet it also one of the areas of the body that gives away your age. I’ve just celebrated my birthday and knowing that I’m now another step towards the big 40 is making me all jittery. As we age, our collagen production slows down and as a result, the monsters of aging such as wrinkles, sagging and lines start to show on our neck and décolletage.
That is a photo of my neck and décolletage, I guess the more obvious lines are caused from constantly looking down at my gadgets (Mobile, iPad & Laptop etc). And since I can’t turn back the hands of time, the least I could do is to take better care of my neck. So I tried out the NeoStrata Triple Firming Neck Cream.
Imagine my dismay when I tried on some clothes and found my tummy showing. I must have been eating too much on my recent vacation and now I am stuck with a bulging belly. As a stay home mother who does not have the luxury of time to commit to a gym programme or even weekly yoga lessons. Getting to sneak in some exercise in the comforts of my own home at my own time would be ideal. That is why I felt that hulahooping suited my lifestyle.
So while most of us know what a hula hoop is but not many know that there are different types of hula hoops which can help you achieve the slimmer and trimmer waistline you have always dreamt of. Continue reading →
No thanks to Hollywood, the unnatural becomes the natural when too many stars are spotting the same ‘fake boobs’ look, prompting more women to ask their surgeons for the same look.
So just what actually is the difference between the natural look and the fake look when it comes to breast augmentation? To some, the fake boobs look seems like a job gone bad, but that is not necessarily the case. In fact, more and more women are now seeking for the fake boobs look because it is so common and popular in Hollywood. Continue reading →
Have you watched a Korean show called “Let Me In Beauty”? It’s this beauty reality show where participants get to win a fully sponsored makeover. Living in Korea with below average looks can be stressful and depressing. It is through this show where the winners find hope and are able to start afresh with their new look. The most interesting part of the show is seeing how the winner of the makeover transforms during the whole process, with most of them spotting model-like looks and figures.
Above is the before and after photo one of the winners from Let Me In Beauty season 3, Dr Ban of Banobagi was the one in-charge of operating on her.
If you have been a faithful follower of the Let Me In Beauty series, you would know that Banobagi Plastic & Aesthetic Clinic had their panel of doctors for both season 3 and 4. And it excites me to share that Banobagi Plastic & Aesthetic Clinic is now looking for 5 women, residing in Singapore and above 21 years old, who desire to improve their looks via cosmetic surgery in Gangnam-gu Seoul, Korea. That’s like Let Me In Beauty the Singaporean version!
