My little boy is one of the biggest Pokemon fans; he goes round telling other kids that he is a Pokemon master and shares almost the same name as Ash, the main character in the show. So naturally, the hub thought that it would delight him so much to bring him there to check it out.
As with most theme cafes, you go for the novelty and not the food. There were only 4 main dishes available so we were not exactly spoilt for choice. We chose the curry rice and the chicken patty rice set.
You get souvenirs such as exclusive pokemon placemats with each meal and for the curry rice, you get a new Great Ball mug (as shown in photo top left) to bring home. The food tasted mediocre and the appeal is just on the aesthetics. However, the portion was pretty much worth the price.
Lucky for us, the Pikachu mascot made its appearance shortly after we were seated. There were photo taking opportunities and every table got a free polaroid photo too, subsequent polaroid photos would be charged at S$2. Needless to say, the kiddo went back for more photos with his favourite Pokemon. And that kind of sums up our Christmas day too
