Did you know that the eyebrows are the most important feature in defining your face? Well, I thought it would be the eyes or the lips. But believe it or not, science says that it is our eyebrows in this study conducted by researchers at The University of Lethbridge in Canada. The researchers showed participants 25 images of celebrities without eyebrows, followed by 25 images of celebrities without eyes. And here’s the interesting findings, the participants were able to correctly identify 56 percent of the celebrities shown without eyes, but only 46 percent of the celebrities without eyebrows.
We may not have won the gene lottery when it comes to having gorgeous brows like Cara Delevingne but there’s always 6HD eyebrow embroidery to save the day.
Wait a minute, what is 6HD eyebrow embroidery?
The latest in semi-permanent makeup, 6HD Reconstruction is the most advanced offering available in the market today, where each stroke mimics the natural appearance and direction of growth of every individual strand of hair. Using the Biotouch Mosaic technology, this process involves the introduction of natural iron oxide pigments into the epidermis via a special embroidery needle, and every shade is custom-blended to perfectly match your natural shading. The pigments are manufactured in a sterile lab free of free floating microbes, ensuring none of the pigments will ever be at risk of contamination. The 6HD reconstruction procedure involves creating up to six layers of fine, short strokes into the skin, ensuring a guaranteed natural look with no obvious gaps, or unnatural looking solid eyebrows.
So I’ve gotten my eyebrows enhanced with 6HD eyebrow embroidery at Paramedic Aesthetics and couldn’t be happier. I no longer need to draw my brows in the mad morning rush before I head to work because I have these great-looking eyebrows. Even without makeup, I still look put together.
Step into Paramedic Aesthetic and be prepared to be blown away by their attentive staff and grand furnishing. This is not your typical HDB beauty salon that claims to offer the state of the art eyebrow embroidery. Their technicians hold years of experience under their belt so you know that you are in good hands. Each technician has her own room, which reminds me of a clinic.
And just like a clinic, they practice and observe a strict hygiene standards. The technician wears a hair net, surgical mask and gown before she proceeds with the session. Likewise, I too wore the same sans the surgical mask.
During my first session, the technician asked what type of brows I preferred. Since my eyebrows were naturally thick, I decided to go for the thick one. I thought that the straight korean eyebrows were getting kinda passé so I decided to get ones with a little arch. She tidied up my brows and started drawing out a shape to show me how they would turn out. Once I was decided, she then proceeded to apply numbing cream onto my brows. The numbing cream was left on for approximately 30 to 40 minutes. We decided that chocolate would be a good colour for me since my hair and eyebrows were naturally dark.
After the session, I was given an antibacterial cream to apply on my eyebrows thrice daily for a week. I guess I took really good care of them because they only started flaking after a week. I was told that the shade would change accordingly to how my skin reacted with the organic dye. I was also recommended a touch up within 1 to 3 months time.
You can see the difference it has made in the above photo collage! I didn’t even know how untidy my natural eyebrows looked like.
