Dear readers, it is the Chinese lunar new year and I would like to wish you all a blessed & prosperous happy new year, filled with lots of love, happiness and joy. Also, good health to one and all, after all, health is wealth.
Here’s how my CNY 1st day went…
Last year, I bought so many outfits but could not find anything to wear. This year, I suffered the same predicament except that I did not shop for CNY at all. And I have a sea of new clothes that had never seen the light but I still could not find anything to wear. In the end, I settled for a floral romper which I’d gotten from my previous Bangkok trip. It was a lovely romper but it seems like the free size in Thailand are made for pre-teens that have yet to grow some “assets”. It’s weird because the romper could fit my fat ass perfectly but yet did not even have space for my really average sized chest. Anyway, it is such a waste because this would be the last time I will be able to wear it unless my ribcage shrinks.
I had to change before we went to another venue for dinner because the romper was literally squeezing the life out of me. And this is another outfit which I had gotten from Bangkok too, it cost only S$6. A super bargain. 😛
I decided to DIY for my toes and because I had been working with so many Rilakkuma plush toys, I felt inspired to try painting a Rilakkuma face on my big toes. It is really tough doing nail art without all the proper nail art tools. This was done freehand using the paintbrush provided with the nail polish cover.
This is photo shows the Rilakkuma face unclose, not bad for a first attempt, eh? The other nails had a mixture of the peppermint and chocolate nail polish from the latest chocolate inspired collection at Etude House.
And last but not least, my LOTD… nothing special actually. It’s the usual eyeliner, fake lashes, blusher and liquid foundation. I had pink eye early in the morning as my fringe irritated it but it eventually got better as the hours went past.
Anyway, I hope everyone had an enjoyable CNY. I’d also promised to reveal the winners for the Valentine’s Day Contest. Drum roll, please?!
