Looking back, 2014 was a pretty great year for me, I have so much to be thankful for. We may not be super loaded but at least money was never an issue. We have a roof over our head, food on our plates and every necessity that is required for us to enjoy a decent quality of life.
Despite having left my job 14 months ago, I’ve still managed to maintain my quality of life. I don’t have to worry about being unable to pay my monthly bills. Whatever I need, I am still able to afford. I’m also blessed to have family and loved ones constantly showering Asher and I with gifts and in turn, we end up saving quite a bit.
My little boy has been growing up fine and I must admit it, sometimes, he really does drive me up the wall. However, there are all these special moments which make up for the lack of sleep and toddler tantrums. Like when he surprises me by singing the entire Alphabet Song even though I did not teach him at all.
Being a SAHM has been a wonderful learning journey for me. If you are considering being one but am worried about monetary issues, do read my blog entry on how did I prepare myself financially. Anyway, I can’t wait for more adventures in 2015 to unfold.
2014 may have been a catastrophic year, there were natural disasters (well, unavoidable), violence by extremist groups and all these aviation tragedies. But I hope that 2015 would be a better year. As cliche as it sounds, I sincerely hope for world peace. If you are looking to give back to the society, do check out my blog entry on the list of charities which I am supporting.
Anyway, I hope that you had a great year in 2014, let 2015 be even better!
