The Jasmine Nail Kit is inspired by the Princess Jasmine from the Disney movie, Aladdin. This is part of the Princess Happy Endings collection which also includes a lip, eye and cheek color, of which I would be reviewing them soon in another blog post.
Love how the packaging resembles a story book, you’ve got to give it to the creative team at Etude House.
Inside, there are 2 bottles of nail color – Antique Mint for the blue and Magic Lamp for the gold glitter.
Now, I just can’t express how much I love this blue. It is such a mysterious, royal and rustic hue of cyan, I can totally feel the Princess Jasmine vibes on my nails. And as usual, Etude House nail polishes are of the right consistency, they go on smoothly and I needed just 2 coats of polish just to achieve this shade. It is a really gorgeous color that looks good even on its own. However, since I’m doing a review on the kit, I might as well have some fun with the glitter.
There’s so much you could do with the gold glitter. For example, the classic french nails design, graduation or just a messy splat like what I did. I had initially tried to do the half moon design near the cuticles but obviously failed and hence, I decided to salvage my nails with a messy graduation from the poorly-made moons. Surprisingly, they turned out pretty nice. I also made use of the nail art sticker to create a french tip for the index finger.
I received a number of compliments for this photo. So yup, it was a success after all!
