I just had my hair done at Soho by Xpect and I am loving it so much! In fact, I feel like a My Little Pony right now. Or some sort of mystical mermaid from a fantasy world.
The Xpect group boasts of more than 70 awards under its belt with its strength in styling. They are often spotted at photoshoots, shows, runways and events. Xpect Group are the Official Hair Sponsor for MediaCorp’s Retrolicious and President’s Star Charity to the most recent with MediaCorp Radio Awards where they have styled for all radio DJs and celebrities.
The branch which I went to is Soho by Xpect, and it is conveniently located at Square 2 which is just above Novena MRT station. The X’pect Group is a leading group of hair salons with 16 years in the industry. There are four other outlets around Singapore, with a sixth one set to open in Hillview soon.
Upon reaching, I’m greeted by their stylist, Damien and shown to my seat. I was also offered a nice cup of hot tea. I then told him what I had intended to do today – a dye job. After several recommendations, I decided to try out purple because this is something which I had been wanting to do for a long time.
Purple is mysterious and seductive.
This is the photo taken before my hair treatment begin. I had hot pink highlights done 1 month plus ago and now it has faded to a lighter pink. My old blonde highlights were also starting to show. My hair had a myriad of colors and looked pretty messy.
First, they had to bleach my hair in preparation for the purple highlights. As for the base, it would be a dark burgundy shade. Damien has around 7 years of experience as a hair stylist so I knew that I was left in good hands.
Once all the dye has been applied! As I had requested for a brighter look, they have giving more highlights.
This machine helps to heat things up a little so that the dye would be quickly absorbed by my hair.
After that, I’m given a wash before the purple dye is applied. After around 15 minutes of waiting, I go for my second wash where I am pampered with a hair mask and head massage that is so relaxing.
And Ta-daa! This is the result which I LOVE so much! Thanks to Damien and Chloe. The color looks slightly different from the first photo because that was taken under natural lighting.
