Ever since a dermatologist mentioned that I had excellent skin, it made me more determined to take good care of it. So I thought it was pretty timely when I was introduced to Ziaja skincare products, a brand that’s new to Singapore. I was given their moisturizer and eye cream to try out. The are the products which I am going to review today are from their Marine Algae range:
Let’s start with the Ziaja Marine Algae Deep Moisturising Cream. If you are heading into your thirties like me, then this is the cream you should pack along in your bid against anti-aging. Keeping our skin adequately moisturized is one of the ways to combat aging. This moisturizing cream is said to revitalises the lipo-structure of the epidermis, while improving the elasticity of the skin, it also contains UV filters which protects the skin against harmful sun rays and photo-aging.
As you can see from the above photo, this cream is rich and luxurious. A little bit goes a long way because the texture is very creamy. I am not much a fan of thick creams because of Singapore’s humid weather but I decided to give this one a chance. Interestingly, despite its texture, it did not leave a sticky, heavy after feel. My skin felt baby smooth. It is no wonder that it even doubles up as a makeup base because once applied onto the skin, it caresses your face, while turning it into a smooth canvas for your makeup.
Next, we have the smoothing eye cream from the same range.
Suitable for dry and normal skin, this eye cream strengthens the collagen and elastic fibers while effectively smoothing the wrinkles and preventing loss of firmness. It perfectly moisturizes the epidermis and accelerates its regeneration. And you would be pleased to know that it is fragrance-free.
The texture of the eye cream is light and refreshing. I know how some eye creams are so rich and potent that they actually cause milia seeds but not this one. I’m probably considered lucky in the sense that I do not have prominent wrinkles around my eyes yet. However, prevention is better than cure. I will continue to use this eye cream in hopes of reducing my chances of getting those awful aging lines.
Ziaja products are made in Europe and I had expected them to be accompanied with a hefty price tag so imagine my delight when I found out that their prices are really affordable. You can find more info on their product range and prices at their Facebook Page.
