Last night, I attended the Mrs Singapore & Classic Mrs Singapore 2014 Pageant at Orchid Country Club with hubby and the MFP crew. Previously, if you recall, I was a co-judge for the prejudging panel, read all about my experience here.
So apart from the crowning of Mrs Singapore and classic Mrs Singapore 2014, there was also a special highlight where the next MFP blogger, Vall Lim, would be invited up the stage to collect her sash, tiara and trophy. It sure was an exciting night for all!
My lovely evening dress is from Occasion Boutique. I’ll admit that this is the first evening wear event I am attending and I had nothing to wear. (haha ,my own wedding isn’t counted!) So I’m really thankful for Occasion’s generous sponsorship. Personally, I’m a fan and I adore their dresses which are trendy and of great quality. The dress which I had worn to the prejudging panel was also from them.
I chose this design because the jeweled trimming meant that I did not need to accessorize much. The dress itself had the ability to stand out on it’s own. If I had gone for a simple gown then I had to wear a statement necklace to jazz it up. Being the typical lazy me, I naturally chose not to.
These were the accessories I wore to go with the dress. My heels were from Charles & Keith. The skull clutch was from some online store I can’t recall. And the bracelets were from Forever21.
Even though I didn’t manage to stay for the entire event as I had to leave early to rush home to put my boy to bed, I still had a wonderful evening. I would like thank My Fat Pocket for the opportunity to co-judge (at the prejudging panel), attend the pageant finals and enjoy a sumptuous meal together yesterday.
