[Review + Giveaway] Etude House Precious Mineral Sun BB Cream SPF50+ PA+++

The Etude House Pink Box for Pink Birds for the month of June has reached me!As usual the pink box is full of lovely surprises & exciting products. Just check out what the delightful folks at Etude House had prepared for us…

Honourable mention – Strawberry bath sponge with the Etude House Milk Talk Bath Wash in Strawberry Milk!

OMG… it smells like a heavenly strawberry smoothie shake. And this adorable sponge can be fitted nicely onto the bottle’s cap. How CUTE is that!??!

I’ve never really been much of a makeup person. My usual makeup regime takes me less than 15 minutes to complete, hell, I could even go for a record of 8-10 minutes. But when presented with all these lovely cosmetics from Etude House, I just can’t help to play doll up!

Let’s start with the face first. So we have the newly launched Precious Mineral Sun BB Cream SPF50+, PA+++ which was specially designed for a flawless complexion coverage under intense heat & sun. This is sooooo suitable for Singapore weather, haven’t you noticed how hot & humit it has been lately?

This new design comes with a quick & convenient sponge applicator too. Not much of a BB cream fan but more of a liquid foundation person if you were to ask me to pick between the two. However, this was surprisingly light-textured and mattifying. Defintely a BB cream I would use and recommend to all.

So how to use it? Simple dispense BB cream and use sponge to gather and apply. Apply to all areas of the face using gentle massage and patting motion. I wasn’t used to using the sponge applicator so I applied it direct with both my hands and a wedge sponge. The coverage is not bad but if you have horrible dark eye rings like me then it’s recommended you do use a concealer.

I finished it off with the Precious Minerals Sun BB Pact, this powder compact is very light and fine. You can even use it on its own too. The shade I’ve gotten is Natural Beige W13, this is a common shade which applies for most ladies.

Next, I try out these pretty blushers from Etude House called Lovely Cookie Blusher.

Here’s mine in Apricot Pudding & Strawberry Mousse, really cute packaging! I love the little powder puffs.

Do however note that the powder is pretty light so this would work great if you want a subtle blush. Else you’ve got to really pile up for a more obvious look. Nevertheless, it’s still very lovely and I can’t bear to use them cause they look so cute!

I tried to take some photos but it doesn’t really show up. Just scroll all the way to the end of the post for the photos…

And now for the lips, let’s check out these Dear Darling Neon Tint.

The 2 pretty shades I got to try out were the Neon Orange & Neon Pink. These colors were so shockingly loud, I was pretty apprehensive about wearing them. However, you should see the effect on the lips. It’s totally different from what I’d imagined.

So ta-da! Here’s my finished look!!

Face: Precious Mineral Sun BB Cream SPF50+ PA+++ & Precious Mineral Sun BB Pact/ Cheeks: Lovely Cookie Blusher in Strawberry Mousse/ Lips: Dear Darling Neon Tint in Neon Orange

I admit my dark eye rings are showing and this is because I did not use any concealer. So if you have terrible panda eyes like me, please do use some concealer!

I tried to take up-close shots but was still unable to capture the blusher properly. This is my best attempt.

  1. Hi darling I just love your reviews and photos, u look so lovely!
btw, I want to try the BB cream you use, Sun BB by Etude, but my skin is a bit oily…do you think it would be good for me?
    Thanks sweety <3

    • Thanks dear, yes you can try this bb cream because its more mattifying then other bb creams. U know how some bb creams feel oily and leave a sheen upon application. But this one becomes matt surprisingly quick, giving you a light, powdery feel. =)
