Unboxing the Asus ZenFone Max

Was really excited to receive the ASUS Zenfone Max and couldn’t wait to unbox it!

Introducing the latest Android 5.0 (Lollipop) smartphone with a high-capacity 5000mAh battery that can function as a built-in power bank to charge other electronic devices. (Definitely my favourite feature hehe)

The Zenfone Max also has an IPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and a 13MP camera with laser auto focus technology for a nearly-instant focusing time of just 0.03 seconds.

Here’s what’s so special about the Zenfone Max summarized:

Ultimate energy: Over a day of 3G talk time and up to 38 days of standby from powerful, low-depletion 5000mAh lithium-polymer battery

Ultimate convenience: Built-in, easy-to- use power-bank capability boosts or even fully charges other devices on the go. Using the feature is as quick and simple as connecting a second device to ZenFone Max’s micro-USB port using a USB on-the- go (OTG*) cable and sitting back.
No need to bring out another powerbank!

H Ultimate display: Beautiful 5.5-inch IPS HD panel with latest-generation Corning ® Gorilla ® Glass 4 offers double the drop-damage resistance as well as a  2.5x increase in retained strength and is 85% less likely to break in daily use — making it safer and stronger than ever before.

 Ultimate speed: 13MP PixelMaster camera with ultra-fast laser auto-focus for point-and- shoot simplicity and total clarity in just 0.03 seconds
You guys know that phone cameras are my life right?

Here’s a pic to testify my trust  in their camera (no edit!!):

ZenFone Max is a slim 5.2mm, and available in two classic colours to complement casual or businesswear — Pure White and Osmium Black.

The Black has a Leathery finish and the White has an Eggshell Finish (someone go touch an egg and tell me how to describe that LOL)
Well, they sent me a black one but I would have loved to see the white version!
ASUS ZenFone Max (ZC550KL) is available at ASUS brand stores, ASUS authorised dealers, Singtel, and StarHub at $249.

Will be sharing more about my experience with the phone really soon, so stay tuned!
