    Open Electricity Market (OEM)

So when S & I moved into our new place last month, we were overwhelmed by the number of letters we got from the letterbox… One of which, was about the launch of Open Electricity Market, which gives you the option to buy electricity from a retailer of your choice, or continue to buy from SP Group at the regulated tariff. Decided to share my bit of research done so far since this has been extended to my neighborhood since 1st November and it’s time to start reducing the utility bills! Fixed Price or Discount Off Tariff Plan? For that, I decided to find out about more about the price…

    TOP

S & I first applied for our property in 2016 and I thought I’d like to pen down the process of our home purchase now that our T.O.P. is nearing (most probably within this month!!!) The TOP was supposed to be in 2019 but I guess properties these days are built really quickly. Here’s a couple of pictures (photo credits to my dearest neighbours) of our home’s progress over the past 2 years! I almost feel like a proud mama watching it grow so quickly haha. Time to get started on our research for IDs and #homeinspo! Construction in progress You can see which blocks are getting built first Growing…

Research – Intercontinental Hotel & Joyden Hall

We have finally got around to planning our wedding (yay!) After some discussion with our family, we decided to start our research based on the following criteria: Banquet Size – 25 tables Budget – $150 per head Type – Wedding Lunch Date – 18/11/18 (hopefully our geomancer agrees with it!) There were a couple of hotels that we shortlisted but we decided to check out my favorite – Intercontinental Hotel as the first stop! This was my first choice because of its clean look & although it exceeds the budget a wee bit, I felt that the price was pretty worth it. We attended the wedding showcase but sadly the…

Santa Claus is coming to town

I love Christmas! Because it is an excuse to meet up with all of my friends and torture myself with shopping for their presents! Anway, visuals from everything Christmas! Christmas Eve Didn’t have the time for a date with S in a really long time so I decided to book his schedule for my favourite festive season! TBH, it wasn’t really to celebrate Christmas, but I just wanted to make full use of the lull period at work to head out teehee. Decided to visit Rochor Centre and its colourful buildings before it is demolished for the year Me photobombing S. Had dinner at Bugis after before meeting up…

    JB Tripping

JB tripping with my favourite peeps whom are the only people I’d sacrifice sleep for. Reaching Woodlands Checkpoint at 8.30am?! I almost died. First stop for breakfast was supposed to be IT Roo but because we reached too early, it was not opened yet. So we decided to head to Replacement Lodge instead! Nutella > Caramel Love the ikura here, which complemented the eggs ben surprisingly We headed back to City Square after that to wait for our driver from Bangkok Spa to come pick us up. Service is pretty good as the transportation was free and the massage here is pretty decent too.  I went for the 2 hours…

    Shaoyu Birthday

All these years when I was with S, I always felt that he was on the losing end for our birthday celebration. Because our birthdays were on the same day, he always ended up being the one planning for it to celebrate for him. So this year (even before he proposed), I decided to plan a day out after his last exam of uni life to celebrate his birthday! PART 1 – CABLE SKIING Woke up early in the morning first thing to head to East Coast Park for our first ever cable skiing session! It was a new experience for the both of us at Singapore Wake Park and there…

    Dester Singapore Gold Cup 2016

I was so happy today, let me tell you, because I got to see horses again! Was super psyched when Singapore Turf Club invited me down for this esteemed event! The Singapore Gold Cup, one of the most prestigious horse races on the local racing is presented by a new title sponsor Dester 100% Malt. Shiling and I had the chance to try the Dester Beer and was pleasantly surprised by its taste. It doesn’t taste like those typical beers, so even if you’re someone who prefers wine (like me), you will find that it tastes pretty good! Here’s a picture of us with the pretty decorations thet set…

    Quarter Century Old… And Engaged

And so, on the 18th of November, S proposed to me! It was a pretty special day for the both of us as we were both born on that day. So here are some details on what went down (from my POV) mainly to ensure that it doesn’t get forgotten and also to satisfy my dearest friends’ curiosity. Every year, we TRY to organize a gathering for our friends to celebrate our birthdays together, so we actually decided on doing a BBQ gathering to celebrate our birthday together (just like the first ever birthday party we had together in 2008) Thus, that was what I innocently thought it would be…
